Hello and happy Monday everyone! Hope your week is off to a GREAT start!!!

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you. The theme at Pinkfresh Studio June Challenge is DIECUTS with a fresh color scheme! I made two cards using Rare & Beautiful stamp and die sets in the colors provided in the challenge graphic.

To start I stamped the Rare & Beautiful image two times using. the colors in the challenge graphic. For the first one I used Coral Reef and Aquamarine and for the second one Sparkling Rose and Blue Jay. The small flowers were stamped in Sunshine in both cases. I then cut both images using the outline die and set them aside.

For the first card I decided to create a chevron background. For that I used the Pop Out Nested Chevron stamp which was stamped in Peach Fuzz, Soft Lilac, Mint and Coral Reef.

I cut the panel with a Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die, gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Rare & Beautiful set on the center of it and foam mounted the panel on a white cardbase.

I cut out the sentiment shape from the Rare & Beautiful image piece in Coral Reef and Aquamarine and added it to the card using foam tape.

For some golden accents I cut Leafy Branch 2 several times from some gold mirror cardstock and embellished the Rare & Beautiful image with them. To finish off I added some Glacier Jewels to the center of the large flowers.

The second card was made in diamond shape using Stitched Scallop Square die set.

To make the diamond cardbase I cut two squares from white cardstock and adhered one corner of them using double sided tape. Next I cut the frame using the large die from the Stitched Scallop Square die set and ink blended about two thirds of the inner piece in Slumber and the outer piece in Blue Jay. I adhered the frame on the diamond cardbase using foam tape and added the stamped Rare & Beautiful image to the center of the card.

To make the sentiment pop I ink blended a piece of white cardstock in Sapphire and Stargazer and white heat embossed the sentiment after the panel was dry. The die cut sentiment was then added to the card. I finished off the card with some Ballet Slipper Jewels on the center of the flowers.

  1. Two fantastic looks featuring these pretty stamps TaeEun and I love them both, so different from one another in colour and background design, but what a wonderful idea to put the square card on its edge to make a diamond shape, so interesting and I love the colours. x
