Hi everyone!
Today I have a pair of scenic cards to share with you which are featuring the new Collection from Penny Black called Dream & Discover. For today’s cards I used two cling stamps from this release.
The first card is showing the scene of the Farmland cling stamp (40-748). I made it into a sunset scene.
I started by watercoloring the sunset sky first on the top two thirds of a watercolor paper panel. After the panel was dry I stamped the Farmland on it with some green Distress inks.
Next I blended the ink with a watercolor brush and colored the house on the hill in purple. I colored the sun and the outline of the house using white opaque ink and let the panel dry.
The sentiment is from Hope Sentiments set (30-803). I gold heat embossed the “hope” and stamped the rest in a black pigment ink.
I cut the panel using the largest die of the Looped Stackers die set (51-631) and foam mounted it on a white cardbase.
The second card is showcasing the Mountain Magic cling stamp (40-751).
To begin I watercolored the water part with Gansai Tambi watercolor. After the panel was dry I stamped the mountain and the grass on the panel in several green tones of Distress inks.
I added the reflection of the mountain to the water surface and colored the sky in very light blue.
The sentiment is from Smiles set (30-802). The Smiles set is one of my favorite sentiment set with lovely quotes! I gold heat embossed the sentiment on some vellum. I cut three hexagon frames from white cardstock using Hexagon Frames die (51-640), stacked them together and adhered it on the vellum with the sentiment. I cut off the excessive vellum along the outer edge of the frame and adhered the sentiment on the colored panel.
I cut the top and bottom end of the panel a bit and foam mounted it on a navy cardbase.
To finish off I scattered a few light blue and white sequins.
