Hello everyone!
It’s time for the first challenge in July at Seize the Birthday! I chose the new Toppings option for this challenge. I want to see Frame(s) on your birthday project 🙂 ! As always you may enter any birthday themed project, if you don’t want to take the topping!
I didn’t frame anything. Instead I made a floral frame 🌸! I used one of the new Washi tapes by Pinkfresh Studio called Hydrangea and Rose to decorate a golden Stitched Scallop Circle frame.
I adhered the washi tape on some white cardstock, die cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.
I watercolored a panel in pink and yellow, splattered gold watercolor and let it dry. I also splattered clear water on the panel to add more texture.
After the panel was dry I die cut the panel with Stitches die and mounted it flat on a white cardbase.
I cut the Stitched Scallop Circle frame from gold mirror cardstock and foam mounted it on the card. I then arranged the floral clusters from Hydrangea and Rose washi tape on the frame.
The butterfly is from Small Butterflies set. I hot foiled it in Aurora and colored it using the coordinating stencil set in pink and yellow. For stenciling I used Sunshine, Apricot, Coral Reef and Candy Apple. I cut it using the coordinating die and added it to the card.
The sentiment was hot foiled in gold using Perfect Sentiments hot foil plate and cut using the coordinating die by Pinkfresh Studio. I finished off the card with a few Gold Pearls.
Please stop by Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from our Surprise Party guest Melanie Hungerford from Cards by Melanie and my talented team mates!
Thank you so much for looking! Hope you’ll play along !

A beautiful die cut and watercoloured embossed background and the addef gold circular frame and the two floral sprays die cut from washi on card is a wonderful idea and they look so pretty added to the mirri frame giving the effect of a wreath. Brilliantly designed and created TaeEun. x
Your card is awesome and so beautiful! I adore that you pushed the FRAMED theme a bit. You encourage me to do the same. I like to create something a bit different with our themes at Seize the Birthday Challenge. Thanks for suggesting this one.
TaeEun…absolutely brilliant card! I would never have guessed you used washi… and die cut it… just an amazing result.
I so love your style! Your coloring and framework makes for such a beautiful card!
Such a great topping and card Tae Eun! You never give anything less than 150%. Just lovely! Take care!
This is gorgeous! I haven’t seen the PF washi tapes in action a lot – but wow, they are beautiful here on your wreath frame. A beautiful card!
So many pretty details on this card TaeEun, beautifully put together, that washi tape looks so much like your style, Cathy x
One word: STUNNING!!
Beautiful. Love the pretty floral frame and cute butterfly.
Wow, what a fabulous take on ‘framed’! I love how the soft wash of colour on your background panel complements the colours on the washi.
Your frame is gorgeous! I love the gold highlights and you colouring is amazing. Love this beautiful card.
