Hello everyone!

It’s time for the August challenge at The Flower Challenge! The challenge theme is USE A DIE !

tfchallenge59

Rachel from RachelVassDesigns is our sponsor this month ! Rachel is giving our lucky winner a PRIZE of three of her amazing digital stamp sets!

I made a slimline card using Rachel’s beautiful Floral Border digital stamp and slimline dies from The Ton.

die-1-3

I printed the Floral Border digital image in gray by reducing the opacity. The sentiment is also included in the digital stamp set which I printed in black with the Floral Border. I watercolored the flowers in bright colors and added a bit of shade around the flowers.

die-cu2-2

After the panel was dry I cut it using a Slimline Simple Nested die from The Ton. To add some interest I cut out a frame for the sentiment using a small Slimline Simple Nested die and a Slimline Scalloped Nested die (The Ton).

I adhered the rectangle with the sentiment flat on a white slimline base, added the frame with thick foam tape and the negative piece with thinner foam tape.

To finish off I added a bit of shine to my card using Glass Slippers sequins.

Hope you’ll play along with us! Please stop by The Flower Challenge blog and get inspiration from our amazing guest Therese Calvird  from lostinpaper.com and my lovely team mates!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

  1. You, and our marvelous guest, have used a die in a way that I hadn’t even imagined, TaeEun! I must get ‘out of the box’ more!

  2. What a fabulous design TaeEun and I love the scalloped frame raised up a little with the central area for the sentiment and all cut out of the prettily coloured floral piece. A wonderful slimline card. x

  3. AMAZING watercolours of your gorgoeus floral border, Tae Eun! Love the design with your die-cut framing for the inside of part of the card front. Very unique and creative. xx

  4. What can I say, this image looks absolutely stunning and the no line look is amazing. Your artistic talent shines through and highlights this image perfectly. I dream of being able to paint like this (but of course without spending years practicing lol). Your amazing my friend xx
