Hello everyone!

It’s Seize the Birthday Thursday!!! Cathy chose the new Toppings option and she wants for us to “Use a Stencil” !

I used the layering stencil for the Lush Peonies set by Pinkfresh Studio and also the Slimline Diamond Builder Layering stencil to create the background.

I heat embossed the Lush Peonies in white on Neenah Solar white cardstock and colored the image using the coordinating layering stencil set. I used soft pastel colors. The large purple peonies were stenciled in Soft Lilac and Candy Violet, the blue flowers in Sky Blue and Summer Shower and the small pink flowers in Sparkling Rose. The center of the flowers were stenciled in Sunshine. For the leaves I used Misty Coast and Rocky Slope. I added a bit of green to the leaves. After stenciling I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

The Slimline Diamond Builder was stenciled in Sky Blue, Summer Shower and Seaside. Before I cut the Stitched Scallop Circle I ink blended the panel in Sky Blue and Summer Shower. I cut the Diamond panel into a circle which fits in the Stitched Scallop Circle. I adhered it on the center of a white cardbase and foam mounted the Stitched Scallop Circle on it. Next I added the Lush Peonies image to the card using foam adhesives.

The sentiment from the Perfect Sentiments set was hot foiled in gold. I finished off the card with a few Sky Blue Jewels.

  1. I have to say, I want ALL the layering stencils, lol! This is gorgeous with the beautiful flowers and the lovely blues you chose for the frame and background patterned stencil. As always, your card design is perfection.

  2. Wow, this is so beautiful, TaeEun! I must get that sentiment foil plate (when it is back in stock!) because it is so striking in gold! Your flowers are gorgeous, love your color selection and the round die to bring it all together! Fabulous!!

  3. Gorgeous card TaeEun. The background is pretty and the flowers gorgeous. I couldn’t decide on whether to stencil a flower or a background so went with a light background.

  4. Beautiful card TaeEun, those flowers look so delicate! Awesome layered stencilling on the flowers and the background, Cathy x
