On my stop I’m sharing a soft floral card featuring Blanket Stitched Rectangles die set. I cut a panel for the stenciled sentiment from Brushed Sentiments set.
I hot foiled the Folk Garden 2 on a white cardstock in gold and stenciled it in my favorite pastel color combo using the coordinating layering stencil set. For the flowers I used Ballet Slipper, Coral Reef, Sunshine and Apricot. The leaves were stenciled in blue and green using Fresh Peer, Grassy Koll, Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine. After stenciling I cut them all using the one-piece coordinating die and set them aside.
To create the background I first ink blended a watercolor paper panel in Grassy Knoll, Ocean Breeze and Aquamarine. I spritzed pearl water on the whole panel to soften the colors by blending them. After the panel was completely dry I cut a rectangle from the center using the Blanket Stitched Rectangles die. I also cut a white panel to get the white rectangle piece.
For some dimension and interest I dry embossed the colored background panel using the Folk Garden 2 Hot Foil Plate and adhered it on a white cardbase. I foam mounted the white rectangle on the center of the card and arranged the floral elements from the Folk Garden 2 on the right and left side as shown in the picture.
To stencil the sentiment from Brushed Sentiment stencil set I used the same colors which I used for the background. I cut the sentiment using the coordinating die and foam mounted it on the card. I added a Small Butterfly to the card which was hot foiled in turquoise and stenciled in the same color scheme like the flowers. To finish off I added a few Matte Metallic Gold Pearls.
