Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio February 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release!!!

If you arrived here from Susi Becerra Jimenez’s Blog, you’re right on track. If not, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio Card blog to get all the information about the full release and to start the blog hop!

It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio – unique and beautiful floral designs, several background dies and hot foil plates are debuting today! There are so many different styles to choose from!

I made two card samples featuring Songbirds on Branches suite and Lily Frame sets along with two different background dies; Daisy Chain coverplate die and Floral Grid coverplate die.

The first card is showcasing the beautiful Songbirds on Branches suite! I colored the image using the coordinating layering stencil set and added details with colored pencils in no-line coloring style. The background shows the texture of the Daisy Chain coverplate die which was achieved by dry embossing.

I stemped the Songbirds on Branches in Peach Fuzz on Neenah solar white panel and stenciled it using the coordinating layering stencil set. The red leaves were stenciled in Peach Fuzz, Berrylicious and Gathered Twigs. The yellow flowers were colored in Sunshine and Clementine. For the blue birds I used Misty Coast, Summer Shower, Blue Jay and Stargazer.

After the stenciling was done I added details on the images using Polychromos colored pencils. I also added a bit of violet shade to the birds. Next I cut the image with the coordinating die and set it aside.

For the dramatic background I first ink blended a white Bristol smooth panel in Peach Fuzz, Marigold, Clementine and Berrylicious keeping the center white and making it darker towards the perimeter. I sprayed pearl water on the whole panel for some shine and texture and let it dry. For more texture I dry embossed the panel with the Daisy Chain coverplate die.

I adhered the background panel on a white cardbase and arranged the branches and birds just like that they are in the actual stamp. I added them with foam adhesives. The sentiments are from Lily Frame set. I gold heat embossed “friend” and cut it with the coordinating die. The long sentiment was white heat embossed on a strip of dark brown cardstock. I finished off the card with a few Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls.

The next card is featuring Lily Frame stamp and die set. It has also a coordinating layering stencil set but I didn’t use it for this card. Instead I watercolored the sweet lily flowers in no line coloring style.

I stamped the Lily Frame in Peach Fuzz on some watercolor paper and colored the flowers in pink, orange and yellow watercolor. After the coloring was done I drew the stamen with a black fine liner and cut the image with the coordinating die.

To color the background panel I used the same watercolors I used to color the flowers. After the panel was dry I cut it using the Floral Grid coverplate die and adhered it on a white cardbase.

The Lily Frame was then added to the card using foam tape. The sentiments are from the same stamp set. “thanks” was stamped in Detail Black ink and cut with the coordinating die. I watercolored a piece of watercolor paper in the same yellow, orange and pink like the flowers and heat embossed the sentiment in white on it. I cut it in a banner and added it to the card. To finish off this card I used a few Ballet Slipper Jewels.

  1. This sweet suite is the one that won my heart in this release, TaeEun! I cannot wait to make it my own! You have really brought those gorgeous birds to life, my friend! By adding so much color and drama to their surroundings!

  2. These cards are fabulous! That background makes those songbirds just pop off the page. So gorgeous! And….. I cannot say enough about those lilies! So, so beautiful!

  4. Dear Tae Eun –
Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing the birds and lilies w/o stamping — just the stencils. I was hoping that someone would do that. My budget is tighter than it has been in some time with several releases all happening sort of “on top of” one another. I love the look of the Songbirds Suite but really cannot order everything I want. Your pieces are GORGEOUS. I love the songbirds card with that RICH RED background / frame. I also think your card with the lilies is my favorite so far of the hop. Thank you for inspiring me and many others with your artistic grace.
