Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio June 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release Blog Hop!!!

If you arrived here from my amazing team mate Raquel Arribas’ Blog, you’re right on track. If not, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio Card blog to get all the information about the full release and to start the blog hop!

It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio! This release contains two beautiful floral product suites, a sentiments set with coordinating dies and some gorgeous dies and a hot foil plate which will help you to create awesome backgrounds ! Today the beautiful Clear Iridescent Drops and Triangle Brass Tray are debuting as well. You will love them!

I made two cards to showcase some of the new items !

The first one is showcasing Fancy Rose Bunch stamp, layering stencil and die sets and the Ornate Medallions coverplate die from this release.

I started off by heat embossing the Fancy Rose Bunch image in gold on Neenah solar white cardstock. I colored the floral bunch using the layering stencil set. The first layer of the roses were stenciled in two tones using Coral Reef and Apricot. The second layer was stenciled in Sparkling Rose and Clementine and the third layer in Passion Fruit and Persimmon. The small yellow flowers were stenciled in Sunshine, clementine and Persimmon and the pink flowers in Coral Reef, Sparkling Rose and Passion Fruit. For the leaves I used Grassy Knoll and Olive. I added a bit of Sunshine to the leaves to make them more yellowish.

After stenciling was done I cut the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

I cut the card front of a white cardbase with the Ornate Medallions coverplate die. Next I cut the stenciled Fancy Rose Bunch in half vertically and foam mounted the halves on the cardbase using foam tape as shown in the picture.

For a finished look I cut a white frame using the Folk Edge Rectangles die set and added it to the card with foam tape.

The die cut sentiment is from the Foiled Sentiments pack. To add more golden elements I adhered six Metallic gold pearls along the middle line of the card front.

The second card is featuring the Folk Floral Stem product suite and the Dotted Scallops coverplate die.

I hot foiled the Folk Floral Stem in gold on Neenah solar white cardstock panel. I then stenciled the flowers in light blue and violet using the layering stencil set. The blue colors are Summer Shower and Blue Jay, the violet ink colors are Soft Lilac and Lavender and the colors for the leaves are Grassy Knoll and Olive.

I cut the image using the coordinating die and started making the background.

I cut a watercolor paper panel using the Dotted Scallops coverplate die and watercolored it in light blue and light olive green as shown in the picture.

The sentiment from the Folk Floral Stem stamp set was stamped directly on the background panel in Detail Black.

I trimmed down the panel and foam mounted it on a light blue cardbase.

Next I added the Folk Floral Stem to the card using foam tape for some dimension and scattered a few Clear Iridescent Drops to finish off the card.

  1. Two absolutely gorgeous cards using the new release TaeEun, and the first using the wonderful flowers gold embossed and a really pretty colour combination for the stencilling, and the coverplate and frame are a wonderful backdrop together with the added gold foil sentiment and gold pearls. I love the look of the second with the scallop coverplate background which you softly watercoloured, and then the floral stem added over the top in complementary colours and looking great on the blue background card. x

  2. LOve both of your beautiful cards, TaeEun! The Folk Floral Stem is such a perfect size for a card! You know how much I love a pierced cover plate – your water coloring makes it even prettier!

  3. Love your idea to watercolor the Dotted Scallops Coverplate background. Both cards are beautiful.

  4. These background piercing dies are so elegant and really make a card stand out. Your gold embossed flowers made an added punch on the card. These are lovely cards. Thank you.

  5. I just love the background cover plate dies .. they really make the cards.. add a special touch 💕

  7. I love what you did with the coverplate dies, especially the dotted scallops. I need to try this! The soft colors are just perfect.

  8. Watercoloring the cover plate die really enhanced the focal image. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone do that before with such effect.

  9. Dear Tae Eun –
Your artistry and creativity always impress and inspire me. I think both cards are beauties! I especially like the second b/c I always gravitate toward the cool colors. I love that you watercolored the arches coverplate as the background – GORGEOUS! I also love that Folk Floral suite and could not resist ordering it. I know it will sell out and I can always tell which PF items will be gone as soon as I see them. The Fancy Rose Bunch suite is also very pretty and will be popular; your card using it is superb!

  10. Your cards are gorgeous! The first one with the Fancy Rose Bunch is breathtaking and I thought it would surely be my favorite when I first saw it but then I saw your next project and Wow! The subtle background on the card with the Folk Floral Stem is so beautiful and soft. I simply love it. Awesome work!

  15. Beautiful cards. Such a great release. My favs are the geo arch hot foil and the ornate circle. Thanks for the inspiration.

  16. I normally prefer warmer tones but I like the second card best. For some reason the background makes me think of sheets of water falling down the outside of a window. It is a melancholy feeling that matches the sentiment very well.
