It’s time for a reminder card for the latest Flower Challenge with the theme ADD SPARKLE ! Yes, we are already the half way through the month of September! How fast the time flies by!!!
I added sparkle to my reminder DT card using some golden thread and sparkly gold rhinestones. I once did watercoloring using the layering stencils and loved it so much. So I tried it again with another stencil set. This time I used the Gleaming Poppies layering stencils by The Ton.
I watercolored the Gleaming Poppies on some watercolor paper by watercoloring through the stencils. I used darker colors for the higher layers of the petals and leaves. After the coloring was done I cut the stenciled image using the coordinating die and then drew the outline with black Micron pens. The black outline gives the image the whole definition.
I foam mounted the image on a black cardbase and cut the excessive parts off. The sentiment from the Easy Expressions set was stamped in Noir and heat embossed in gold. I made a nest out of some golden thread for the sentiment strip and scattered a few Bright Gold Opaque rhinestones to finish off the card.
Hope I was able to inspire you to play along!

Thank you so much for looking!
