Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio October 2022 Washi, Stamp, Die, and Stencil Release Blog Hop !!!

If you arrived here from Susi Becerra Jimenez’s Blog, you’re right on track. If not, please head on over to Pinkfresh Studio Card blog to get all the information about the full release and to start the blog hop!

It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio! Five GORGEOUS washi product suites are debuting today with stamp, layering stencils and die sets. All five designs in watercolored look are so unique and beautiful!!! I’m sure you all will love them!

My cards for today are featuring the Whimsical Blooms product suite.

For the first card I used the stamp, stencil and die sets to make a marvelous bouquet.

I stamped the whole Whimsical Blooms stamp on a Neenah solar white panel in Detail Black ink and stenciled them using the coordinating stencil set. The purple flowers were stenciled in Soft Lilac and lavender, the pink flowers in Sparkling Rose and Bubble Gum and the yellow flowers in Marigold and Clementine. The leaves were colored in Fresh Pear and Key Lime.I did the whole process one more time to get two sets of the images which I used to make a couple of cards. I’ll share the other one tomorrow at the Instagram Hop!

I arranged a bouquet with large floral clusters and made a wrapping paper for it. To make the wrapping paper I first ink blended a A2 sized white cardstock in ombre pink using Ballet Slipper and Sparkling Rose. I then cut the panel with the Dotted Scallops coverplate die. To make the edge a bit fancier I cut it with a scallop shaped Classic Edgers die. I did it three times and layered the die cut edge. Next I cut the panel into a triangle shape.

To create the background I did a loose watercolor wash in pink and yellow and dry embossed the panel wit the Elongated Lattice coverplate die. I splattered black watercolor on the panel and adhered it on a white cardbase.

Now it was time to add the bouquet to the card. I adhered the triangle wrapping paper on the background slightly curved for some dimension and added the bouquet into it. I adhered the stems flat and the flowers with some foam tape.

I ink blended a piece of white cardstock in Ballet Slipper with a very light hand and made the Artistic Bow from it.

The sentiment is also from the Whimsical Blooms set. I stamped it in Detail Black in a wavy line to make it fit on the bow die from the Artistic Bow set. I cut the ribbon shaped sentiment and added it to the bouquet. Lastly I scattered some Bubblegum Jewels

I did no line watercoloring on the Whimsical Blooms for my next card.

I stamped all the images in Peach Fuzz on some watercolor paper and watercolored them in a loose way. I worked in two or three layers to give the images some depth.

After the watercoloring was done I cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

The background was created using the Dainty Plaid stamp and stencils. I white heat embossed the Dainty Plaid on a white panel and stenciled the plaid pattern only on the perimeter of the panel in Lemon Whip, Fresh Pear and Ballet Slipper. I blended the Ballet Slipper very lightly.

I adhered the background panel flat on a white cardbase and added three watercolored floral clusters on it with thick foam tape. I wanted to make the flowers float over the background so I gave them lots of dimension :). The sentiment from the Whimsical Blooms set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. The finishing touch for this card was light green Crystals.

    1. Both cards are really lovely. I love the concept of the bouquet, but equally love the soft green and yellow background with the contrast from the florals. Beautiful work x

  1. Beautiful cards! I like the ombre holder on the first card – the graduated color adds a lot. And the background on the second card really highlights the flowers. These are lovely!

  2. Such pretty cards! I especially like how you added the bouquet and the gorgeous background – fantastic details !

  3. Beautiful colouring on your cards, so clever to make the wrapper for the florals on the first. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration!

  5. These are both so lovely, Tae Eun! The constellations in which you’ve arranged the flowers differ, but they’re both showstopper-gorgeous!

  6. Love it. Love it. Love it. I love everything about the release. And paired with the glitter drops, the layouts are drop dead gorgeous. !

  7. Two really beautiful florals TaeEun, and both using the Whimsical Flowers, and the first incorporating such a clever idea to make a wrap for them with a cover die and a stitched scallop edger die, and coloured so prettily using the coordinating stencil, and then the second with that wonderful loose watercolouring and I just adore the plaid background with some soft colouring on it…this shows how different an image can look as at first I thought you had used two different stamps. x

  8. Fantastic cards! I really love the background on the second card – such a great compliment to your design!

  9. Love, love both cards, but the floral bouquet on the plaid background is happy and stunning! Very nice work!

  10. Such a beautiful bouquet!! I love how you used that scalloped die to make the layers of the flower wrap to look like scalloped edges. The colors are so pretty!! Great job!! These washi suites are so versatile!!

  14. TaeEun, both of your cards are so beautiful. I love the watercolored flowers on your second card, so dainty. And the arrangement on your first card using the Dotted Scallops cover die and the Classic Edgers die set was ingenious to create the envelope for the flowers.

  15. Oh my! A brilliant idea to creat a paper vase for the flower bouquet. And the plaid design on your second card is just right for showcasing all the pretty flowers. Really pretty cards.

  16. Your cards are gorgeous. Love the design on the first one and that plaid background on the second one.
