Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a restful weekend!

Today I have a card to share which I made for the Pinkfresh Studio December 2022 Challenge! The theme of this month’s challenge is HAPPY HOLIDAYS ! For my holiday card I used the Holiday Elements product suite and the Holiday City View stamp and stencils from the Holiday Release.

My color choices are based on the color palette from the challenge graphic.

I started by gold heat embossing the Holiday City View stamp on a Neenah solar white panel. I stenciled the houses using the coordinating stencil set in Candy Apple, Coral Reef, Meadow, Sky Blue and Sunshine. After the stenciling was done I cut the panel using the Stitched Rectangles die and foam mounted it on a white cardbase

Next I gold heat embossed the poinsettia wreath and the solo poinsettia image from the Holiday Elements set and stenciled them very lightly using the blending brushes I used to stencil the background without adding more ink colors to them. So I colored the center of the poinsettias in light red, some leaves in light green or yellow and the berries in light pink and light yellow. After stenciling I cut the images using the coordinating die. I cut a dark red cardstock with the same die to add a shadow layer to the poinsettias.

I cut a hexagon panel from some vellum using the Nested Hexagons die and adhered it on the background to cover the busy background a bit. I then added the red layer of the die cut poinsettias using foam tape and the stenciled images on it also using some foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Ornaments stamp set. I stamped it in Detail Black and cut it using the coordinating die.

I finished off the card with a few Sunshine, Bubblegum, Glacier and Emerald City Jewels.

  1. The buildings in the background are really pretty TaeEun, and the poinsettia wreath over the top with minimal added colour is perfect, especially as the buildings have a lot of colour, and the red card as a shadow behind the wreath makes it stand out even more. A beautiful card. x
