Hello and Happy Friday, everyone!

This weekend I want to share some cute and lovely cards I made using some new goodies from the Showered in Love collection by Penny Black. I also used some oldie-but-goodie LOVE themed items (fan’s favorites) for my cards! Today I’m going to show you four cards with the sentiment “Love” !

So without further ado, let’s take a look 🙂 !

The first card is featuring a cute bear from the Showered in Love (30-945) stamp set and the Love Edger (51-759) die from the new collection and the Line of Hearts (51-285) die from fan’s favorites.

love-3-1-3

To start I stamped the bear in a black pigment ink on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored the image. I also colored the sky in light blue and let the panel dry. After the panel was dry I attached it on a white cardbase.

I cut the Line of Hearts (51-285) three times from a scrap of watercolor paper. I layered the outline hearts and watercolored the die cut hearts in light blue, pink and light purple. The white outline Line of Hearts was adhered on the left edge of the card and I inlaid the watercolored hearts into their places.

For the Love Edger (51-759) I first ink blended a piece of watercolor paper in purple and light blue, splattered clear water and dabbed the water droplets off to create the texture. After that I splattered white ink on it and let the panel dry.

I cut the panel with the edge die from the Love Edger (51-759) set and stamped the sentiment from the Showered in Love (30-945) stamp set on it in black and foam mounted it on the bottom of the card. I added the white die cut love to the card and some tiny hearts which I had after I die cut a panel using the Lovely Border (51-484) die.

Next card is also showcasing the Showered in Love (30-945) stamp set along with older dies : Cloudy (51-728), Lovely Border (51-484) and the love and miss you (51-494).

love-4-1-2

I started off by stamping the cute bears on a watercolor paper panel as shown in the picture. I placed the bears so that it looks like that the hearts from the watering can are raining onto the umbrella of the bear on the lower half of the panel.

After I was done with the watercoloring I cut the panel using the largest Lovely Border (51-484) die and adhered it on a soft pink cardbase.

The clouds from the Cloudy (51-728) set were cut from some piece of watercolor paper. I added a bit of light blue on them and some Crystal Stickles, and foam mounted them on the card so that the first bear can stand on one of them.

The “love” was cut once from white watercolor paper and two times from black cardstock. I watercolored the bottom edge of the white die cut piece, layered the black die cuts and added the white one on the black one slightly shifted.

Lastly I colored the heart on the sentiment in pink and covered it with Glossy Accent and sprinkled a bit of glitter on it.

love-4-3-2

I think you all know the sweet Mimi who is in the next two cards 🙂 ! I used the old Mimi stamps to make them ; the Mimi’s Love (30-270) and the Sweetheart Mimi (4296J). The Sweetheart Mimi (4296J) is a woodblock stamp.

love-1-1-2

The Mimi was stamped in black and watercolored on the center of a watercolor paper panel. After the watercoloring was done and dry I ink blended the perimeter of the panel in pink Distress inks. I also added a bit of red to the edge.

To add some texture to the panel I splattered clear water on the panel after I covered the colored image with a scrap paper. After a few seconds I dabbed off the water. Next I splattered pink ink on it and lastly white opaque ink.

After the panel was dry I cut it using two dies from the Lovely Border (51-484) set and mounted it flat on a white cardbase. The sentiment “LOVE” was cut with a die from the same die set. I cut the sentiment three times to layer them for some dimension.

To finish off I covered the tiny hearts in the image with Glossy Accent which is hard to see in the pictures…

The last card for today is showing the Sweetheart Mimi (4296J) and the Love Edger (51-759) die.

love-2-1-2

I stamped the Sweetheart Mimi (4296J) on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored the image. I left the background uncolored and cut the left side of the panel using the Stitched with Love (51-762) die instead.

love-2-4-3

For the Love Edger (51-759) I first ink blended a watercolor paper panel in ombre pink and added splatters in the same way like I did for the first card.

I cut the edge with the Love Edger (51-759) die and cut the rest using a kraft knife. I stamped the “without limits” using the Without Limits (30-949) set on the panel and foam mounted it on the card. I cut the outline of Mimi’s legs to put them over the Love edger panel. Next I added the white die cut love on it and a white heart which was left after I cut the Line of Hearts (51-285) for the first card.

That’s it for today! Valentine’s day is right on the corner! So I hope I could inspire you for some Valentines Day craft sessions with my cards today!

I’ll share two more cards on this weekend! Hope you have some time to check them out 🙂 !

Thank you! Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
