Today the first challenge of the New Year has started at The Flower Challenge ! We are back after a short break in January with the theme “USE YOUR LATEST STAMPS OR DIES”. It would be a great chance to use the new floral stamps or dies which you got for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year 🙂 !
I watercolored the Blooming Peony stamp from the December Release by Pinkfresh Studio for my DT card. I stamped it in Peach Fuzz on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored the flowers and leaves.
I colored the peony in pink and added a bit of orange to the back of the petals. The small flowers were colored in light blue and purple and the leaves in green. I also colored the background around the peony to add some depth to the image. I cut the panel using the Blanket Stitched Rectangles die and attached it on a white cardbase.
The sentiment is from the Floral Border stamp set. I white heat embossed it on some black cardstock and cut it using the coordinating die.
Lastly I scattered a few Champagne Glitter Drops to finish off.
That’s it from me! Please head on over to The Flower Challenge blog for more inspiration from my talented team mates!
Looking forward to seeing your creations in the gallery!
Thank you so much for looking!
