Hi everyone! Today, there is a fun Instagram Hop to celebrate the launch of the Stampwheel 2.0 by Altenew. I’m excited to join this hop as a Design Team member of Pinkfresh Studio as it’s a collaboration Hop 🙂 !
The Stampwheel 2.0 is an upgraded, larger version of the original Stampwheel. It serves as a stamp positioner and a sticky mat, making it incredibly versatile. With a working space of 9″x9″, it’s perfect for stamping and stenciling larger projects. Additionally, the right edge of the Stampwheel 2.0 is detachable, allowing you to work with stamps or cardstock larger than 9 inches.
For this hop I created a slimline card featuring the Herb Garden suite as the focal point.
I started by stamping the Herb Garden images in Lush Forest ink twice, ensuring I had enogh herbs to arrange. Next, I used the coordinating stencil set along with 1/2″ Blending Brushes to stencil the images in various green tones : Grassy Knoll, Olive, Bay Leaf, Spanish Moss, Eucalyptus and Spruce Tips. For the darkest areas of the leaves, I used Lush Forest, and for the stems, I used Espresso. The little signs were stenciled in Ballet Slipper and Grassy Knoll, respectively. For the bucket, I used Ballet Slipper, Warm Buff and Doe. The bucket handles were colored in Coral Reef and Doe. After stenciling, I used the coordinating die to cut out the images and set them aside. The sticky mat of the Stampwheel 2.0 held the cardstock and stencil securely, so you don’t need to worry about them moving around during the process.
Next, I heat embossed the words on the bucket in Liquid Platinum and stamped the sentiments on the signs in Detail Black.
To create the background I stenciled a slimline sized panel using Diamond Motif slimline stencil with Coral Reef and Warm Buff. I detached the right edge of the Stampwheel to place the long stencil and the slimline sized white panel securely on the sticky mat. I then cut this panel with the Slim Ornate Banner die and foam mounted it onto a white slimline cardbase, the bottom end of which I ink blended in Warm Buff.
To arrange the herbs in the bucket, I cut a small slit in the dirt area of the bucket and tucked the herbs and the two little signs inside as shown in the picture. I added the bucket with the herbs to the cad using foam tape and trimmed the excess off. The border beneath the bucket was cut using a die from the Wrap Around Elements die set.
I completed the card with Blush Clear Drops for a delicate finishing touch.
