Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio “Fables & Forests” Release Blog Hop !!!

If you arrived here from Nichol Spohr’s Blog, you’re on the right track. If not, be sure to head over to the Pinkfresh Studio Blog for all the details on this gorgeous new release and to start the full blog hop!

It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio, and we’re so excited to share the Fables & Forests Release! This Release brings the magic of the forests and the charm of books into your creations. Today four unique designs, one sentiment stamp, and five versatile background dies are debuting —perfect for adding depth and creativity to your projects !

As a special tool, Pinkfresh Studio is introducing the Heat Resistant Acetate with this Release! These clear sheets are perfect for shaker cards, windows, card bases, and overlays. The durable, heat-resistant quality allows for heat embossing and hot foiling without warping.
I’ve tried both methods, and they worked beautifully! You can see what I mean in one of my cards today (heat embossing), and in the card I’ll share tomorrow for the Instagram hop (hot foiling).”

The first card is featuring the Dreamer’s Forest suite. I made it into a shaker card using the heat resistant acetate, on which I heat embossed the sentiment from the Rooted in Wonder suite.

To start, I heat embossed the Dreamer’s Forest in gold on a white panel and stenciled the landscape using coordinating stencils in following colors:

Once done with stenciling, I cut the panel using the largest die from the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge die set and cut a rectangle window with a smaller die. To add interest, I dry embossed the frame piece with the new Scallop Glow coverplate die.

To create a shaker card, I adhered the Heat Resistant Acetate to the back of the frame. On the acetate, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Rooted in Wonder suite. Then I built a wall using 3mm thick foam tape.
I adhered the small rectangle piece from the stenciled panel onto a white cardbase, attached a few Iridescent Clear Drops on the scene, added some silver, white, teal, and violet sequins as shaker element, and finally placed the frame with the foam wall to the card.

The second card showcases the Flower Market suite. For the background, I used the Bloomlight Stitches coverplate die.

To start, I stenciled the Flower Market with following colors:

Once Stenciling was complete, I stamped the image in Detail Black and cut it using the coordinating die.

To create the background, I ink blended a white panel in Sky Blue (top) and Bay Leaf (bottom), and cut it with the Bloomlight Stitches coverplate die.

I adhered the background panel flat onto a white cardbase and foam mounted the flower market. Before attaching, I stamped the small starts on the awning in Summer Shower and added the sentiment from the same stamp set directly in Detail Black.

I embellished the market with die cut branches and three Sky Blue clear drops.

  3. The shaker card that you created is top notch. The bold colors along with the shiny shaker bits are just beautiful. Using the press plate to dry emboss the frame adds so much the card too. I love the press plate background you used for your lovely flower cart card. Great color blending on both cards.
