Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far!
I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog with a floral card featuring the Rising Wildflowers product suite, along with several unique products from the January Release. For the background, I combined the Diamond Delight and Modern Mosaic coverplate dies to create subtle texture and visual interest. I also used a sentiment from the Heartfelt Chapters stamp set.

To create this card, I began by stenciling the Rising Wildflowers in following ink colors:
– Pink petals : Peony, Raspberry Bliss
– Orange petals : Mimosa, Fruit Punch
– Greenery : Sage, Spruce Tips
Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the stenciled image using the coordinating die.

Next, I prepared an A2-sized panel of Pinkfresh Studio Premium Watercolor Paper. I watercolored the top left corner in Bubble Gum and the bottom right corner in Sunshine and Clementine from the Premium Liquid Watercolors: Classics set, allowing the colors to blend naturally. Once the panel dried completely, I die-cut it with the Diamond Delight coverplate and then dry embossed it with the Modern Mosaic coverplate to add subtle texture. The finished panel was adhered to a white card base.
To give the flowers dimension, I die-cut three additional Rising Wildflowers pieces from white cardstock, stacked them, and placed the stenciled piece on top. The layered flowers were then positioned on the card front.

For the sentiment, I stamped a phrase from the Heartfelt Chapters set in Detail Black ink and die cut it using the coordinating die. I stacked the sentiment on three extra die-cut layers to give it added height, then mounted it on a Peony ink-blended banner cut with the Basic Banners die. The sentiment was positioned along the bottom of the card.
Finally, I added a few Ice Clear Drops for a subtle touch of sparkle and finishing detail.

If you want to add dimension to delicate die-cut pieces, layering them with additional die-cuts is often a better option than using foam tape. Of course, this step is optional, but as we all know, dimension makes such a difference 🙂 !
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I personally love how a watercolored background gives a more organic feel to a card compared to ink blending. I hope this card inspires you to try watercoloring the background on your next creative project!
