Hello everyone! Hope you’re staying healthy and enjoying the weekend at home!
Today a new Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge has started. This month we have a sketch for you along with a spring-like color palette.
It would be a great sketch for a layout, if you are a scrapbooker. I as a card maker love this sketch as well. I chose a CAS design rather than an artistic layout like the sketch shows. I also used the brand new Slim Cuts dies to make my slimeline card.
I used Slim Stitched rectangles die set to cut my layers. I used the smaller stitched rectangle to cut the bottom layer from a Neenah solar white paper. The front panel was cut using the smallest rectangle die from some white woodgrain cardstock. I cut three hexagons from the front panel using the Basic Label Frames die set.
To add the three pastel colors from the provided color palette to my card I first masked off the borders of the bottom panel and ink blended Sweet Mustard, Ballet Slippers and Summer Shower on it for each of the three open hexagons. I foam mounted the bottom panel on a gray slimline cardbase (3.5/8 x 8.5/8″) and added the front panel with the hexagon windows to it using foam tapes.
The floral clusters are from the Painted Florals washi tape. I adhered the washi tape on a white cardstock and cut the floral clusters using the Floral Elements die set. I glued them onto each hexagon. To create my sentiment I used the letters from Mini puffy alpha stickers which is included in the Just a Little Lovely Embellishment bundle. I finished off the card with some yellow, pink and light blue Jewels.
