Hello, everyone! Welcome to The Ton 2024 Anniversary Release!

This year we are celebrating the 9th Anniversary with a special Release !!! Some floral layering stencils and fun postage-themed stamp, die, and stencils are making their debut today! You can see all the new items on The Ton blog!

I’ve created three cards featuring some of the new release items for today!

The first card is showcasing the postage-themed items : the Postage Sunflowers stencils, Postage Party die, the Not a Bill stamp, and the Postage: Sentiments stamp. The Postage Sunflowers layering stencils are designed to be used with the Postage Party die.

First, I cut a white panel using the Postage Party die and then started stenciling the Postage Sunflowers on it. The ink colors I used are Lemon Drop, Amber Citrine, Coralline hybrid, Found Topaz, Dark Roast, Meadow, and Cali Blue for the background.

After the stenciling was done, I stamped the sentiment from the Postage: Sentiments stamp set and the postage sign from the Not a Bill stamp set in Noir.

Next, I foam mounted the front panel on a kraft cardbase and added a few Bright Yellow Opaque rhinestones to the card!

The next card features the Always Cherry Blossoms stamp, layering stencils and die set. The beautiful Always Cherry Blossoms stamp set is an old one, and Effie has designed the layering stencils for this image for the Anniversary release.

To begin, I gold heat embossed the Always Cherry Blossoms image on a white panel. I then stenciled the image using Bubblegum, Dolled Up, Found Topaz, Dark Roast, and Meadow.

After that, I cut the images using the coordinating die and set them aside.

To create the background panel, I watercolored a watercolor paper panel in indigo, purple, and a bit of cerulean blue and dry embossed the panel using the Postage Party die before it was completely dry. The dampness helps to avoid small cracks in the thick paper.

To add more interest, I ink blended Azurite, Iris Blooms and Deep Peony into some rectangle areas of the Postage Party.

After the white splatters were completely dry, I adhered the white frame to the background, which I got after I made the first card, to give the card a finished look.

Then I arranged the stenciled Always Cherry Blossoms images using some foam tape. The sentiment is also from the Always Cherry Blossoms stamp set.

I finished off the card with a few Deep Blue Opaque rhinestones.

The last card for today is showcasing the Sweet Cherry Blossoms layering stencils and die set.

To make aligning a bit easier, I first cut a white panel using the Sweet Cherry Blossoms die and stenciled the image. I used the Grip Mat to secure the die cut piece and the stencils in place.

To stencil, I used Bubblegum, Dolled Up, Found Topaz, Dark Roast and Meadow. I stenciled the stamen in Light Onyx.

To create the background, I cut a Kraft cardstock panel using the Sand Dollar coverplate die and foam mounted it on a kraft cardbase. Next I added the Sweet Cherry Blossoms image on it using foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Postage: Sentiments set. It’s a fun set with lots of words written either horizontally or vertically. You can mix and match to create your own sentiment!

I finished off the card with a few Metallic Gold Dew Drops.

  1. Such fantastic cards! I really love the postage sunflowers – such a great design and the kraft card base is perfect!

  2. The sunflowers are gorgeous TaeEun, and I really love the Postage Party die which works together with the die to give this great finished effect, and then the two different cherry blossom images which look wonderful layered over the ink blended postage stamp background embossed over the super watercoloured background, and then the last card with the really pretty stencilling on more beautiful cherry blossoms, and the die cut coverplate background in the kraft card makes a spectacular background…three brilliant makes! x

  3. I love the clean and simple cards you created. they remind me that a craft card base can be lovely too! thanks for sharing.
