Hello everyone ! Hope your week is off to a great start!
Today I’m sharing a Thank you card on Pinkfresh Studio Card Blog! This card features the Magnificent Magnolia suite from the latest release in an unusual color combination. As you might already know, I love experimenting with color combos und trying out new ones :)! For today’s card, I picked a color palette of turquoise blue, purple-violet and brown-gold. To brighten up the look, I also added a bit of pink. To add a golden touch to the background I used the Dashing Daisies press plate!
To begin, I pressed the Magnificent Magnolia image twice onto white cardstock, using Atlantis ink for the flowers and Doe ink for the leaves. Then, I stenciled the first layer of the flowers with Ocean Breeze, Turquoise, Sheer Freesia, and Hydrangea, adding a touch of Sparkling Rose here and there to achieve a brighter look. Next, I stenciled the second layer of the flowers with Hydrangea to enhance the vibrancy. For the leaves, I stenciled them with Peach Fuzz and Doe, and added Espresso to the stems for more depth and definition. After finishing the stenciling, I used the coordinating die to cut out the images.
Next, I took a dark brown card base and dry embossed the front using the Dashing Daisies Press Plate to add texture. For the background, I hot foiled the Dashing Daisies design in gold on a white panel, then used the negative foil and the Solid Hot Foil Plate to create the complementary front panel. I cut the front panel with a die from the Dotted Fancy Frames die set, then foam mounted the negative piece onto the cardbase for added dimension.
I arranged the stenciled images in the diagonal corners using foam tape, trimming off any excess. For the sentiment, I hot foiled it with the Grateful Greenery Press Plate set in gold and adhered it to the center of the card with foam tape. To finish, I added Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls for a touch of elegance and shine.
As I always say, don’t be afraid to experiment with different color palettes ! Sometimes the results might be disappointing, but more often than not, you will discover the joy of finding unique and stunning combinations that bring your designs to life :)!
Thank you for stopping by!

Such a beautiful card! I love the foiled panel and the colours you used for the flowers and leaves are beautiful!
This is such a beautiful card TaeEun and I love the shades of blue with that bit of pink, and the background hot foiled using gold on white card is gorgeous and the shaped aperture with the brown dry embossed card behind is just perfect, and finished beautifully with the gold sentiment and the metallic pearls. x
