Altenew + The Daily Marker Color Therapy Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew and The Daily Marker Color Therapy Blog Hop! 

Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker is hosting her 14th 30 day coloring challenge in November 2019. Altenew is collaborating with her to inspire crafters to find joy through coloring with this Color Therapy Blog Hop!

I pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets, Wallpaper Art and stamped the flowers in Limestone on a Neenah solar white cardstock. I stamped the center part again in Pure Graphite to make it darker. 

I then started coloring the folds of the petals using Altenew Artist markers TG02 from set E. I blended the TG02 with Copic W1, added darker shade in TG03 and blended it again with TG02. So my base layer was finished. 

Next I added details to the petals using Polychromos colored pencils in Warm Gray. Lastly I colored the darkest shade with a black colored pencil.

The leaves were stamped in Tattered Rose DI on a watercolor paper panel. I colored them in Cotton Candy of Altenew Watercolor Pan set and a waterbrush. While I was coloring the leaves, I added clear water to lift the Tattered Rose ink. I also colored the open leaves in Cotton Candy and added darker shade in Industrial Diamond. 

I die cut all the images using coordinating dies. I colored the stamen in gold watercolor and added some golden dots on the leaves as well.

I adhered the Peach Gold Washi tape on a white cardstock panel, narrowed it down slightly and glued it on a dark brown cardbase. I arranged the flowers and leaves on it as shown in the picture.

The sentiment was cut using Inline Alpha die set from some gold foil paper and from some coral fun foam. I raised the letter h with the foam and glued the letter i on a flower. I finished off the card by adhering two gold enamel dots.
