Today five gorgeous holiday themed stamps sets are debuting: Holiday Shoes, Holiday Trio, Poinsettia Arrangement, Loose Poinsettias and Poinsettia Wreath.
I have four cards to share with you today. The first card is showcasing the unique design of Holiday Shoes. I also used the pretty poinsettia cluster from Holiday Trio set.
I started off by gold heat embossing the main image of Holiday Shoes and the poinsettia cluster from Holiday Trio set on some Bristol vellum paper panel. I colored the images using Color burst powders and silver watercolor. After the coloring was done I fussy cut the images and set them aside.
To create the background I stamped the Modern Plaid background on a white cardbase in Pink Derby. I foam mounted a white rectangle panel on the cardbase as a mat for my images. I’ve made a tag with the sentiment from Holiday Shoes, stamped in Noir, tucked the string of the tag into a slit I cut in the bow of the Holiday Shoes image and adhered the main image on the white rectangle panel. The poinsettia cluster was added using some foam adhesives. I added some glittery detail on the center of the poinsettias using Stickles and gave the white berries some dimension using white Pico embellisher. I finished off the card with some Glass Slippers sequins.
My second card is featuring Poinsettia Arrangement set.
I heat embossed the image on a watercolor paper panel mainly in Rose Gold. I heat embossed the berries and leaves in the upper part of the image in gold. The image was colored with Color Burst. After the coloring was completed, I dry embossed the panel with two Double Stitched Circle dies. I cut a mask using the large Double Stitched Circle die from a print paper and masked the dry embossed circle. I then stamped Bare Tones background on it in Hollywood star to match with the color of poinsettias.
I narrowed down the front panel a bit and foam mounted it on a pink cardbase. I added some glitter on the berries and the center of the poinsettias using Crystal Stickles. I finished off the card by adding Pink Diamond and Pink Bokeh Couture Mix.
For my next card I’ve made a glamorous dimensional Poinsettia using Loose Poinsettias set.
I started off by coloring two Yupo paper panels in red and in green respectively. I used various red and green shades of alcohol inks. After the alcohol ink was dry, I gold heat embossed the outlines of the poinsettias from Loose Poinsettias set on the colored Yupo panel. I also gold heat embossed some berries on uncolored Yupo paper. I fussy cut all of the gold heat embossed images and set them aside.
For a dramatic contrast I chose a silver paper for my background. I heat embossed the Modern Plaid background in silver on it and cut the panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment from Poinsettia Wreath set was gold heat embossed on some vellum which was adhered on the back of the silver panel. The silver panel was then mounted flat on a dark red cardbase.
I arranged the poinsettia layers as shown in the picture. I used foam adhesives for each layer. The Yupo panel warped by heat embossing. But this time it was intended to make the poinsettia even more dimensional! I covered the berries with white Pico embellisher and added three Silver Dew Drops to finish off the card.
Now to my last card for today which is featuring Poinsettia Wreath stamp set. The big wreath is so beautiful. I love it!
I white heat embossed the wreath on a watercolor paper panel. I didn’t stamp it as one big wreath, but stamped two times partially on diagonal corners. I colored the poinsettias using Color Burst in Violet and Cerulean blue. I colored the berry leaves and the background using Pink Garnet Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen. I cut the panel using a Double Stitched Rectangle die and adhered it flat on a navy cardbase.
The die cut sentiment was made using Holiday Word dies and Adhesive Glitter paper Glossy Fine Silver. I raised the sentiment by stacking it on some white die cuts. I added silver glitter on the berries using Nuvo drops. To finish off I scattered some sequins from Summer Soiree and Lilac Blossoms Couture Mix.
