Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
I’m popping in to share a card I made using Bliss (40-667)cling stamp of the Dreaming Release by Penny Black.
Bliss (40-667) is a beautiful floral branch image in fine outlines. Coloring using alcohol ink was my first thought as I saw this stamp image.
I used Ranger alcohol ink cardstock as I wanted to heat emboss the image. To use as my reference I stamped the image in light Memento inks and applied alcohol inks. I used Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange, Citrus, Limeade, Botanical and Lettuce. I sprayed lots of rubbing alcohol on the alcohol ink cardstock panel and dripped the inks so that the alcohol diluted the ink colors. I blew the inks as I wanted. I added yellow orange colors where the flowers are and the green hues on the bottom right part where the leaves and stems would be placed. After the panel was dry I gold heat embossed the image.
I colored the image using micro applicators. I used the same colors like the background. As they are now concentrated on a small area without any alcohol, the colors are more vibrant. After the coloring was done, I splattered some gold Mixative on the panel and let it dry. I then cut the panel using Stitched Nested Frames (51-535).
The sentiment is from Destination Sentiments set (30-590). I gold heat embossed it on a strip of vellum with torn edges. I adhered both ends of the vellum strip on the back of the front panel and foam mounted the panel on a kraft cardbase. To finish off I added some iridescent sequins.
Hope you like my card!
I’m entering this card with the alcohol ink background into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Make Your Own Background !
Edited) Micro Applicators are tiny brushes which are supposed to be used for make-up. You can find them on Amazon. You can see me using them in one of my videos on my YouTube channel as well. Somehow I can’t write a reply to your comment, so here is my answer :)!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a great one!
Hugs,
