Today I have a card for some challenges to share with you :)! I took the sketch of the CAS(E) this Sketch #191 and was inspired by the picture at Inspired by All the Little Things #25.
I started out by white heat embossing the dahlia by Penny Black five times on some multimedia cardstock, colored them using Zig brush markers and clear Wink of Stella. I then cut the four petal layers in different sizes to stack them up on a original dahlia image as the bottommost layer on the card base. For the front panel I blended Soft Garden and Bright Fern dye inks from The Ton on a A2 sized white cardstock, cut a square out, splattered some white ink and mounted it using foam tape on the card base. The sentiment in Bright Fern is from Basic Labels stamp set by The Ton.
To finish off I added an orange enamel dot on the center of my dahlia.
I layered my flower petals instead of the squares in the Chrissy’s sketch.
