Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a nice weekend!
It’s time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge! This month we are having a color challenge and we chose Blue and Yellow thinking of the people affected by the war in Ukraine.
I made a slimline card using a flower die by Penny Black which is called Splendid (51-739). This is a new die from the Blooming Collection.
I started by cutting the elements for the flower using the dies from the Splendid (51-739) set from some watercolor paper. I then watercolored the die cut layers for the blue flower making the upper layer darker than the lower ones. I colored the leaves in yellow, which look like small yellow flowers now 🙂 .
I created the watercolored yellow background panel and cut it using the Slimline Zig-Zag die (51-733). I stamped the sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers (30-897) set in black directly on the background panel and foam mounted it on a white slimline cardbase.
Next I arranged the flowers on the card as shown and added some yellow rhinestones.
Please stop by the Flower Challenge blog to see all the beautiful inspiration cards from our guest, the fabulous Nancy Penir and my amazing team mates!
Hope I was able to inspire you to play along !
Thank you so much for looking!

Beautifull!!
TaeEun those brave Ukrainians still need our prayers, and hopes for an end to their turmoil – such a gorgeous way to send those prayers! xx

Delightful flowers looking so pretty in blue and yellow TaeEun and I love the ornate zigzag die cut frame and the bit of yellow watercolour and some spattering and sequins all go perfectly added to the background. x
As always my friend it is stunning. The design and those colours together are so beautiful.
What a great idea to turn the leaves into buds, TaeEun. It’s like they were meant to be. Such a gorgeous card.
