Add Texture – Pinkfresh Studio November 2022 Challenge

Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a restful weekend!

Today I have a card to share which I made for the Pinkfresh Studio November 2022 Challenge! The theme of this month’s challenge is ADD TEXTURE.  You can do paper tearing or distressing, dry embossing, stitching, using texture paste etc. to add texture to your projects!

I made a Thanks card using the Chrysanthemum washi product suite from the October Release. I dry embossed the background panel using a stencil to add texture. And I picked my colors according to the color palette from the challenge graphic. I used light version of the red and teal green colors and added light brown to them.

I stamped the Chrysanthemum in Detail Black on a Neenah solar white panel and stenciled them using the coordinating layering stencil set. The flowers were stenciled in Ballet Slipper / Coral Reef and Peach Fuzz / Apricot. The leaves were stenciled in Mint and Meadow with a bit of Warm Buff and Doe. After the stenciling I cut the images using the coordinating one-piece die and set them aside.

For the background I stenciled Diamond Motif on a white panel in Sweet Mustard, Warm Buff and Emerald City. I left the stencil on the panel and dry embossed the panel with the stencil to add texture! Next I cut the panel with the Slim Ornate Banner die and foam mounted it on a white cardbase on which I adhered a light brown panel.

Next I arranged the Chrysanthemum flowers on the background panel as shown. The sentiment was stamped in Espresso and die cut using the coordinating die. I finished off the card with a few Gold Glitter Drops.
