I’ve managed again to make a card with my kids around my crafting place, yay!
Today’s card is for CASolgy this week with the cue word “OWL”. And I added a dimensional owl for the Addicted to CAS, which is celebrating it’s 3rd birthday with the code word “DIMENSION”.
After I’ve seen the cue word at CASology “OWL”, I’ve searched for an owl in my stamp sets but I couldn’t find any. What I’ve found were owl buttons. Not bad! I chose a blue one from the package.
I then colored water color CS using Distress inks in blue+teal for the heart panel and in pink+yellow for the balloon die cut. Since the owl button is about 2mm thick I made a branch also with the same thickness for the owl to sit on. The heart was cut with my Cricut. The Balloon Bouquet die is from Cottage Cutz.
Before I’ve mounted all the elements together, I had blended some Distress inks on the card base and applied pearl pigment on the card base and the heart panel with a brush.
The sentiment from Paper Smooches was stamped using embossing ink and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum EP. For more shine I added a coat of Wink of Stella on the branch and on the bow of the balloon bouquet.
