The Flower Challenge – Sketch

I love to play with sketches. Sometimes it makes card making even easier. This sketch reminded me of a stamp set I have for a while but hasn’t seen a ink yet. A beautiful floral border stamp set called Rose Edging and is from Penny Black. I thought it could replace the rectangle on the sketch.

From several borders I chose one with cherry blossom and stamped it on a water color cardstock using Aquamarkers and Misti tool so that I could stamp the flowers in pink and the leaves in green.  I then colored the cherry blossom border with a bit of Zig markers along with blending using clear water. I then picked a cherry blossom image from Clearly Besotted, stamped it on a white cardstock using pink and green Memento inks, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut it. The circle frame was cut with my Cricut. I stamped the Tree Ring from Concord&9th on it with Vintage Photo DI and blended the same color on it. I made a circle blended with some blue DIs as the background for the cherry blossom and glued it on the card. The cherry blossom was glued with the circle frame and foam mounted on the card. The sentiment is from Message Me by Clearly Besotted. It was a small sentiment just as what I wanted. I stamped it in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it. For some bling and shine I added a coat of Wink of Stella, white stamen and some pink rhinestones on the flowers.
