Hello and happy Friday!!!

It’s already September! Where have the 8 months gone?
Anyway I’m glad Summer is almost over. I’m not a Summer kinda person. Actually I don’t like too cold weather either, haha :)!

Today I have my first Autumn card of this year to share with you! The Ton September Challenge has started today. For this month Effie has created a autumnal mood board.

You could catch so many inspirations from this board, right?

I took the upper left picture as my inspiration and made this card. I like the blue and brown combination and wanted to try it.

To start off I stamped the first layer of the leaves from Autumn Foliage along the diagonal on a toned tan paper in Hampton white pigment ink. I then stamped the leaves in layers. I used Found Topaz, Aspen Cocoa and Dark Roast for oak tree leaves, Coral Cavern, Valentine Red and Pink Derby for Maple leaves, Lemon Drop, Beach Blondie and Amber Citrine for Ginkgo leaves and Warm Hazelnut and Spiced Chai for the small leave on the right upper corner. I gold heat embossed the third layers again. For the small leaves, which have no layering stamp, I drew some lines using an embossing pen and gold heat embossed them. I drew a wavy line on a white cardstock and cut it out to use it as a guide for the golden lines on the front panel. I drew three lines going through the leaves using a gold gel pen and cut the panel along the outermost golden line and the outline of the leaves. I glued the white cardstock which I used as my guide underneath the front panel so that the panel has a white edge. Set the front panel aside I started to make the background and the coffee cup. The background was colored using brown and gold Gansai Tambi watercolor and Broken China Distress oxide ink on some multimedia paper. The coffee cup from Hug in a Mug stamp set was heat embossed in Rose Gold, colored using Gansai Tambi watercolor and die cut using coordinating die. I stamped and white heat embossed one of the cream stamp from the same set.

To assemble my card I glued the background panel flat on the card base, foam mounted the front panel and foam mounted the coffee cup on it. The sentiment is from Beautiful Butterflies 2 which was stamped first in Hampton white pigment ink and then slightly offset in Aspen Cocoa.
To finish off I scattered some halo gold sequins from Princess Glam and Kiwi Smoothie, little clear sequins from Coral Necklace and Medallion Gold sequins.

That’s it from my side! I hope I was able to inspire you to get crafty and create some autumnal projects to join in the fun! One winner will get $50 gift certificate to The Ton shop!
