Hello and Welcome to Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers – Tropical Fiesta set Release Blog Hop!

If you have arrived here from Norine Borys’ blog, you’re right on track. If you want to start from the beginning of the blog hop, please head on over to the Altenew Card Blog.

The new Watercolor Brush Marker set is called Tropical Fiesta. This set includes bright tropical colors. You can see the color swatch of the brush markers below.

I’ve created two cards to share with you.
For the first card I watercolored the beautiful flower and leaves from Wallpaper Art set using Watercolor Brush Markers Tropical Fiesta set.

I started off gold heat embossing the flower and leaves from Wallpaper Art set on Canson watercolor paper. I used Purple Wine and Turquoise for the flower. The flower center was colored in Fresh Lemon and Paper Bag. I colored the leaves in Paper Bag and Lava Rock. I gold heat embossed the small flowers of Handpicked Bouquet image as well and colored them in the same color scheme. I cut all the images using coordinating dies and set them aside.

To create the background I first gold heat embossed the solid foliage image from Wallpaper Art set twice diagonal on a watercolor paper panel and did some soft watercolor wash on it in Paper Bag and Turquoise. I added some splatters in the same colors and let it dry.

I then started assembling the card. The background panel was foam mounted on a kraft cardbase and the floral elements were arranged as shown in the picture. I added the flower using 3D foam tape for more dimension.
The sentiment is from Handpicked Bouquet stamp set. I heat embossed it on a strip of dark brown cardstock in Pure White Crisp EP and added it onto the card. To finish off I added some clear sequins.

Next up is an almost one layer creation made using Rennie Roses stamp set.

I started off by stamping the sentiment from Rennie Roses set in black pigment ink and clear heat embossing it on the center of a Canson watercolor paper panel. I then white heat embossed the cute roses and leaves from Rennie Roses set. I used the mask stencil to mask the roses if needed.

After the heat embossing was done, I started coloring the image and background. I colored the roses in Fresh Lemon, Sunkissed and Crimson. For the leaves I used Lime and Sweet Leaf. I splattered orange and green colors on the background while masking the images. The white splatters were added without masking the images.

I cut down the panel slightly smaller than A2 size and foam mounted it on a orange cardbase. To finish off I scattered orange, yellow and clear sequins on the card.

That’s it from my side today! Hope you enjoyed looking my cards 🙂 !
