Today I have a reminder DT card for the current Flower Challenge to share with you. It is Anything Goes Challenge. Any floral card with flowers as main focus is welcome in our gallery!
I’ve made a card featuring a floral hat I sketched during The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge in February. It’s my third hat. The Nr1 and 2 are shared on the first DT post of March .
I sketched the hat digitally and printed it on a Neenah solar white panel. I colored it using Copic markers and Polychromos colored pencils. I tried to represent a airy Summer straw hat :)! After the coloring was done I fussy cut it out.
Turning the hat into a card wasn’t easy. After a long brainstorming I decided to put it on a lady. So I sketched a face in line-art style. To add more floral element I stamped the beautiful bold peonies from Peony Duo set by The Ton after masking the face. I stamped the flowers in Tattered Rose DI and the leaves in Twisted Citron DI. They were colored using Color Burst powders. I splattered some blue and white ink on the background and let the panel dry. After the panel was dry I cut it using a Double Stitched Rectangle die.
The sentiment is from Timeless Icons Sentiment set. It’s a beautiful saying by Audrey Hepburn. I gold heat embossed it on the colored panel. The colored panel was mounted flat on a white cardbase and the hat was then foam mounted.
