Hello and happy Thursday!
Today a new challenge has started at Seize the Birthday! My lovely team mate Ashwini has chosen a Toppings option for you and her choice is
Cover the Card
It could be a hard one for CAS card makers 🙂 but it’s a great chance to practice some background stamping ! So I hope you will give it a try! As always you may enter any birthday themed projects in our gallery, if you want to!
I used Rose Wonderland Print stamp set by The Ton. It is a three step floral cluster image in a size of 3.75 x 4 inches. As it is smaller than the A2 size I stamped it two times and added some solo elements to fill the gaps.
I stamped the image in Warm Hazelnut and Coraline hybrid ink to show orange-brown color combination. I skipped the third layer which fills the white part of the flowers. I stamped them on a separate white panel again. I narrowed down both panels using Double Stitched Rectangle die.
Next I adhered the panels on a dark brown cardbase. I adhered the upper part upside down. The sentiment was cut using Bold General Greeting word plate die from some dark brown cardstock from which I used the negative panel for my card. I made it in a wide strip. One piece of stamped panel was added underneath the sentiment strip which was foam mounted on the card. “happy birthday” is from Happy Florals set by The Ton. I stamped it in Aspen Cocoa directly on the stamped panel.
I added three cream colored flat back pearls and the card was finished!
Thank you so much for looking my card today! Hope you’ll join us!
