Hello and welcome to Hero Arts and Pinkfresh Studio Collaboration Blog Hop!!!

If you arrived here from Nichol Spohr’s blog, you’re right on track. You could go back to Hero Arts blog, if you get lost on the way.

I’m so excited and honored to be part of this special blog hop celebrating 45 years Hero Arts has been with paper crafters! This month Pinkfresh Studio is collaborating with Hero Arts with this gorgeous stamp set, called You Make A Difference! This stamp set is featuring a border image of wild flowers and many gorgeous sentiments. You can purchase this stamp set also on Pinkfresh Studio shop

I’ve created two cards using You Make A Difference set and some of Pinkfresh Studio’s Essentials.

For my first card I used alcohol inks and Copic refills to add color to the image.

I started off by stamping the floral border image on a Alcohol ink cardstock in light Memento ink. The stamped image helped me as my guide while I added colors on the background. To create the background I dropped green, purple, pink and light blue ink on a palette and added rubbing alcohol to them to lighten the colors.

I applied the diluted ink on the alcohol ink cardstock using a small brush. I colored the outer part of the border in green, where the flowers are in purple and pink, and the center of the panel in light blue. I added lots of rubbing alcohol afterwards to blend the colors.

After alcohol ink was completely dry, I heat embossed the image in gold. I then colored the flowers and leaves with alcohol inks. I used micro applicator to color the image.

The sentiment is also from You Make A Difference set. I gold heat embossed it on a thick vellum. I gold heat embossed the image as well as I wanted it continue on the vellum panel. I cut the vellum panel using the smaller die of Braided Oval die set.

I narrowed down the colored panel a little bit and foam mounted it on a French Mint cardbase. The vellum panel with the sentiment was added using some clear foam adhesives. To finish off I scattered jewels in various colors from the pretty Jewel Mix

For my next card I used a tag from Classic Tags with Fillable Elements set to do spotlight coloring. I colored the image using Liquid Watercolor by Pinkfresh Studio.

I chose a cardbase which is in the similar color like Aquamarine of the Liquid Watercolor. I stamped the image from You Make A Difference set on the cardbase in pool color to get a tone on tone look. I cut the big tag from watercolor paper using a tag die from Classic Tags with Fillable Elements set and white heat embossed the image on it.

I colored the image on the tag using Liquid Watercolor and gold heat embossed the sentiments on it. I added some white highlights on the image I stamped on the cardbase using a white colored pencil.

I tied a ribbon in the tag and foam mounted it on the cardbase. To embellish my card I added some jewels from  Jewel Mix.

That’s it from my side! Hope I was able to showcase the beauty of this special stamp set!
