I’m sharing my cards on my blog to give you more details on my cards!

I used the Dreamy Rose and the Tropical Bouquet digital stamps, printed them on Strathmore water color paper and colored the image using Ecoline liquid watercolor.

My first card is featuring the Dreamy Rose digital stamp.

The image is a dream to color! I really enjoyed to watercolor it. I used Carmine, Apricot, Light Rose and Reddish Brown to color the rose flower and Deep green, Light green and Burnt Sienna for the stem. I also colored the background using the same colors I used for the flower and the stem with a hint of Indigo and splattered dark brown ink I mixed using Indigo and Burnt Sienna.

After the panel was dry I trimmed it and stamped the sentiment from Words of Encouragement (30-712) set by Penny Black in a pigment black ink and clear heat embossed it. The panel was foam mounted on a white cardbase.

The second card is showing the Tropical Bouquet digital stamp.

To color the pretty hibiscus and plumeria flowers I used Vermilion, Deep Yellow and Light Rose. I colored the right side of the background in yellow and orange and let the panel dry.

I cut the panel using a Double Pierced Rectangle Nested Die by The Ton and mounted it flat on a creme cardbase. The sentiment is from Easy Expressions: Thanks stamp and die set by The Ton. I heat embossed the scripty part of it in Liquid Platinum EP and the rest in white on some black cardstock. To finish off the card I added some clear sequins.

I had a blast watercoloring the floral digital stamps! Hope I was able to inspire you to watercolor some pretty flowers 🙂 !

Happy hopping!

  1. Two gorgeous cards and love the beautiful watercolouring TaeEun. You have done the shading around the rose so beautifully that on Instagram I thought it was placed over the background, so I got that one wrong..lol. The hibiscus flowers are so pretty too and more very soft colour in the background which lets the flowers sing out. Alex’s digi stamps are so well designed. x

  2. Alex knows just how to promote her fabulous digis – and YOU know just how to use them BEAUTIFULLY, TaeEun! Two more gorgeous cards!
I’m not a huge fan of roses irl, but this one? It could be a model in a gardening magazine! xx
