Hello everyone!

It’s Seize the Birthday Thursday and this time around Barbara has chosen our Topping! She wants to see faux or real stitching in your projects 🙂 !

I used two different die sets by Penny Black to add faux stitches to my card. The rectangle die is from Sewing Stackers die set (51-651) and the circle one is from Stitched Circles set (51-551). The birthday puppy and the party guests are from Pawsome Birthday set (30-837).

I stamped the critters in Versafine black ink on a Bristol smooth paper and watercolored them using Karin brush markers. I adhered the colored panel on a white cardbase.

I cut the cover panel with a circle window using Sewing Stackers (51-651) and Stitched Circles set (51-551) from some soft pink cardstock and foam mounted it on the card.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was then added and also a few clear sequins for some bling!

Now hope you got some inspiration from my card and will play along 🙂 !

Please visit Seize the Birthday blog to get more inspiration from my team mates and our guest Jenny Martin from My Paper Epiphany ! Most of them used real stitches in their gorgeous projects !!!

Thank you so much for looking!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. I love the fun critters you used and so beautifully coloured TaeEun, and the pretty ornate die cut circle and with the stitched edging to the rectangular mat as well..a beautiful card. x

  2. It looks great! I love the combined look of all those separate dies – they look great on that soft pink. Clever way to add texture without distracting from those cute, adorable critters having a blast!
