Hi everyone!

It’s already time for a reminder post for the current Flower Challenge. This month we want to see your projects for which you use some scraps.

I had a watercolored panel sitting in my scrap box for a while, actually since last Summer. The stamp set is called Best of Everything Floral by Pinkfresh Studio. As I colored the image it didn’t look good so I put it into a box with other unfinished panels. For my reminder DT card I decided to mend this one to give it one more chance 🙂 .

As the panel looked a bit dull to me, I went over it with my Polychromos colored pencils to give it more contrast. I mainly intensified the darker area. When I was happy with the result I cut the panel using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die (Pinkfresh Studio) and foam mounted it on a soft pink cardbase.

The sentiment is from Celebrating You stamp set. I heat embossed it in white on black cardstock and cut it using the coordinating die.

I finished off the card with a few Glacier Jewels.

That’s it from me! Hope you like my card and will play along with us!

  1. TaeEun, I find it hard to imagine ANY of your paintings seeming ‘dull’! But you truly have brought these darling blooms to life with your pencils – especially those tiny berries!
    Beautiful, my friend!

  2. Well this is the most fabulous scrap I have ever seen TaeEun and it would have been so sad not to see it used, and the addition of the Polychromos Pencils do give it more beautiful detail and the ornate edge to the frame and pink background card look great. x
