Hello crafty friends! Hope your first week of May is going well!

I’m popping in to share my DT card for The Flower Challenge! In May we want to see you using Number(s) in your floral projects!

I thought birthday cards would work perfectly with some numbers and made one 🙂 !

number-1-3

My main flowers are from the Rainbow Floral Washi stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio. I stamped the images in Detail Black ink and watercolored them into red roses and dark green leaves with a hint of Perylene Violet. After watercoloring I cut the flowers with the coordinating die and set them aside.

number-4-3

To make the background panel I first watercolored an A2 sized Canson Mixed Media paper panel in the same red and violet which I used for the roses and the berries. I let the panel dry and splattered the violet watercolor on it.

After the panel was completely dry I cut it with the Floral Tiles Coverplate die and adhered it on a white cardbase. I cut a Stitched Scallop Rectangle frame from some white cardstock and foam mounted it a bit tilted on the background panel. Next I arranged the flowers on the frame as I wanted.

The “Celebrate” sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Sentiments set. I stamped it in Detail Black and die cut it with the coordinating die.

The Numbers were cut using the Heather Lower Case die set. The die cuts the numbers with very thin outline parts. For this card I used only the outlines. I cut the numbers two times, layered them and added them directly to the image.

Lastly I finished off the card with some Glacier Jewels!

number-3-3

That’s it from me! Now it’s your turn to be creative and make a floral project with some numbers on it  !

  4. I love the pretty sketchy look of these flowers and leaves and beautifully coloured by you TaeEun, and the double scallop stitched frame and the open numbers as a finishing touch..a fabulous card! x

  5. TaeEun, I’m so inspired by your beautiful card and the way you used this frame to showcase your gorgeous flowers. I have a bunch of frames from old die cuts that I keep “just in case” and thanks to you, it’s time for me to use them.
