Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a restful weekend!

Today I have a card to share which I made for the Pinkfresh Studio April 2023 Challenge! The theme of this month’s challenge is FLOWERS, the easiest one I think 🙂 ! The color palette of the challenge graphic is a perfect mix for floral projects!

I made a Thank you card using Circle Florals product suite and the Around the Shape-Circles stamp set from the February Release. For some interest in the background I used the Folk Edge Circle and the Elongated Lattice coverplate die.

I started with the flowers. I stamped the Circle Florals on a Neenah solar white panel in Detail Black and stenciled it using the coordinating layering stencil set. The flowers has three layers and the leaves has two. I stenciled the flowers in two tones: pink and orange. For the orange flowers I chose Marigold, Clementine and Persimmon and for the pink ones Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose and Raspberry Bliss. The leaves were stenciled in Grassy Knoll and Olive.

I die cut the stenciled flowers and set them aside.

Next I worked on the circle panel. First I ink blended a piece of watercolor paper in Sparkling Rose and Marigold and sprayed clear water on it to smoothen the colors. After it was dry I stamped the sentiment from the Around the Shape-Circles stamp set in Detail Black on it and cut the circle using the Folk Edge Circle die.

For the background I die cut a white cardstock with the Elongated Lattice coverplate die and inked the same colors like the circle panel on it.

I adhered the die cut Elongated Lattice on a white cardbase and foam mounted the circle panel with the sentiment on it.

I then arranged the Circle Florals around the circle panel and added one small flower on the circle line. Some Pixie Dust Ombre Glitter Drops were my finishing touch for this card.

  1. I love the elongated lattice as the background TaeEun and the central sentiment circle, both with some very pretty ink blending, and then the added flowers around the edge of the circle beautifully coloured using the same colour palette, and finished with the pretty glitter gems..a great look! x

  2. This will be my first Pinkfresh Studio challenge. I started making a geometric design until I realized I was using parameters from last year’s April challenge which popped up when I googled. LOL. So, I am just beginning April 2023 challenge today. I’m going to go ahead and complete the geometric one as well. I’m hoping challenges like this one will improve my card making skills. Thank you for this challenge! Not sure where to upload the finished project, but hopefully I will find this before the deadline.
