Hello, crafty friends! I’m popping in again to share my card for the new Flower Challenge! The theme for the month of June is USE YOUR FAVORITE FLOWERS ! I picked anemone for this challenge. I love the velvety petals and the dark colored stamen of anemone flowers !

For my DT card I used the Gathered Anemone coverplate die by The Ton.

To start I cut the Gathered Anemone three times from some heavyweight white cardstock. I adhered one of them on a white cardbase as my guide for ink blending. I ink blended the anamone flowers in coral pink and pink using Bubblegum, Cherry, Peach Blossom and Coraline hybrid ink. I then covered the petals using the die cut pieces and ink blended the background in Stormy Sea. After I was done with coloring I removed the die cut petals.

I then splattered white opaque ink on the whole card and layered the rest of the die cut Gathered Anemone on the card. The sentiment is from the Coming Up Peruvian Lilies stamp set. I heat embossed it in silver and cut using the coordinating die. I cut some white cardstock using the sentiment die three more times to stack them up for some dimension.

I finished off the card with a few Soft Pink Gems.

Now it’s your turn! Create floral projects featuring your favorite flowers and play along !

  1. This is very pretty with the Gathered Anemones cover plate and some wonderful colouring to the background and the flowers themselves TaeEun, and finished beautifully with the silver embossed sentiment and the pink gems. x
