I made three cards to showcase the release items! Let’s take a look!

The first card is showing the Mid-Rose Stencils and die, Rose Leaves Stencils and die and the Script Notes stamp and die sets from this release.

I stenciled the Mid-Rose in red using Cherry, Lipstick Red and Wine and the Rose Leaves in Matcha, Everglade Moss and Light Onyx. After stenciling was done I cut them using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

To add a bit of color to the background I watercolored a mixed media paper panel loosely in red and green and cut it with the Double Stitched Rectangle A2 Nested die. I mounted the background panel flat on a white cardbase and arranged the Mid-Rose and the leaves on it using foam tape as shown in the picture.

The sentiment is from the Script Notes stamp set. I stamped it in Noir and cut it using the coordinating die. The sub-sentiment from the same stamp set was white heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.

To finish off the card I scattered a few Red Gems.

For the Next card I used the stencils to watercolor the Jumbo Rose.

On a watercolor paper panel I placed the first layer of the stencil set and applied yellow watercolor though it. I let it dry and went forward with the second and the third layer. For the second layer I used orange watercolor and for the third layer dark orange. After the watercolored rose was dry I drew the outline using a gold gel pen. I then watercolored the background in dark purple and Payne’s gray. Once the panel was completely dry I cut the panel with the largest die of the Double Pierced Rectangle A2 Nested die set and splattered opaque white ink on the whole panel.

The sentiment from the Floral Notes set was heat embossed in gold on a piece of vellum. I tore the vellum and placed it on the watercolored panel. I folded the sides of the vellum and adhered the ends on the back of the colored panel. The florals in the sentiment were colored using brush pens.

The front panel was mounted on a cardbase. I finished off the card with a few Metallic Gold Dew Drops.

The next card is featuring the Climbing Roses Stencils.

I stenciled the roses in yellow and soft pink. The yellow roses were stenciled in Vanilla Frosted Cupcake, Amber Citrine and Coralline hybrid ink and the pink Roses in Whisper Pink, Bubblegum, Dolled Up and Deep Peony. The roses are in three layers but I used four colors to color the pink roses to give the rose more depth in the base and the center. The leaves were stenciled in Matcha and Evergreen. Next I cut the image using the coordinating die.

To create a white on white background I cut the Foliage Border two times from some heavyweight white cardstock, layered them and mounted it on a white cardbase.

I then foam mounted the Climbing Roses image to the background.

The sentiment from the Floral Notes set was heat embossed in gold on a white cardstock and cut using the coordinating die. I colored the small floral images in the letters with brush pens and added the sentiment to the card.

Pale Orange Opaque rhinestones were the finishing touch for this card.

  1. Beautiful roses and love the two different colours for the single rose, and then the pretty colours of the climbing roses, and a wonderful leafy coverplate die for the background. x
