It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio! The Sunshine & Smiles Release is packed with cheerful summer-themed goodies and a beautiful selection of fresh, floral designs—perfect for adding a touch of sunshine to your projects! Additionally, two new Essentials die sets and the brand-new Precision Clear Craft Glue are making their debut today !
My cards for today’s hop feature the beautiful Timeless Tulips product suite.
For the first card, I chose vibrant red as the main color.

I began by stenciling the Timeless Tulips image onto white cardstok using the coordinating stencil set. For the tulip blooms, I used Berrylicious and Mulberry Blush; the leaves and stems were colored in soft violet-gray tones using Misty Coast and Wisteria. The small flowers were softly colored with Cherry Blossom, with Peony added to the base for depth. Once the stenciling was complete, I stamped the image in Detail Black and cut out the image using the coordinating die and set it aside.

To create the ombré red background with a watercolored look. I swiped several ink pads directly onto a panel of mixed media paper, working from top to bottom in the following order: Mulberry Bliss, Candy Apple, Passion Fruit, Peony, and Cherry Blossom. Don’t worry about the harsh lines the pads leave—spritzing the panel with water helps blend the colors beautifully. After the panel had completely dried, I cut it using all of the dies from the Essentials: Single Stitch Rectangle die set, resulting in six frames and one center panel. I adhered these pieces onto a white card base, alternating between flat adhesive and foam tape to create dimension and a polished look.

Before adding the floral image, I cut a silhouette from black cardstock using the same Timeless Tulips coordinating die. I layered the stenciled image over it with black foam tape, offset slightly so the black peeked out from behind, adding contrast and depth. Then I adhered the layered floral piece to the card.
At this point, I wanted some white splatter in the background. To protect the floral image, I die cut the Timeless Tulips shape from printer paper and used it as a mask before splattering white opaque ink across the background.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock, die cut, and attached to the card with foam tape. To finish off the design, I added a few Scarlet Clear Drops for a touch of shine.

For my second card, I used only the Timeless Tulips stencils and added subtle dimension by dry embossing the image outline with the coordinating die.

Since I wanted the floral image to sit in the bottom right corner with a soft, delicate background, I lightly ink blended the bottom-right diagonal half of a white cardstock panel using Peony, Key Lime, and Sunshine.
I then began stenciling the Timeless Tulips images using soft, spring-inspired tones. For the tulip bloom, I used Peony and Passion Fruit; for the small flowers, Sunshine and Sweet Mustard; and for the greenery, Key Lime and Olive.

Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Essentials: Dotted Postage Square die set. Next, I dry embossed the outline of the image using the coordinating die. I then foam mounted the finished panel onto a light gray square cardbase.
The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was stamped in Detail Black, die cut, and added with foam tape..
To complement the airy and fresh spring feel of the card, I finished off the design with a few Iridescent Clear Drops.
