Hello everyone! Today I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a cheerful slimline card that’s bursting with summer vibes! I had so much fun combining elements from three different Pinkfresh Studio suites—Sweet Safari, Sweet Scoops, and Summer Blooms to create a bright and cheerful scene.

To bring all the elements together into one cohesive scene, I chose a slimline format for my card. It gave me the space I needed to let each piece shine while still feeling balanced and connected.

I started by stenciling the elephant from the Sweet Safari suite in soft tones of Lavender, Ocean Breeze, and Meadow, then die cut it with the coordinating die.

For the ice cream from the Sweet Scoops suite, I used a cheerful pastel palette—Sunshine, Apricot, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Lavender, Ocean Breeze, Turquoise, Meadow and Warm Buff. I trimmed off the bunny part after die cutting to use just the ice cream for my scene.

To add the greenery elements I stenciled the Summer Blooms in Grassy Knoll, Meadow, Ocean Breeze and Citron. The sun from the Summer Blooms were stenciled in Sunshine and Apricot. After that, I cut the images using the coordinating die.

Next, I stenciled the upper part of a slimline panel with the Slimline Gradiating Stripes stencil in four soft shades:  Sky Blue, Soft Lilac, Sparkling Rose, and Sunshine.

I used the Blanket Stitch Slimline Rectangle die to cut the background panel and adhered it to a white slimline card base.

Now the fun part—arranging all the stenciled and die-cut pieces! I played around with the layout until everything felt balanced, then attached the elements with foam tape to add dimension.

I finished the card with a sentiment from the Gelato on the Go stamp set, stamped in Detail Black and die cut. As a final touch, I added a few Ice Clear Drops for just the right amount of sparkle.

Don’t be afraid to mix product suites with a similar design style! A cohesive color palette will help tie everything together into one unified, harmonious creation.

To tie all the elements together from the different suites, I chose the bright pastel colors from the Pinkfresh Studio July Challenge! The SUMMER SPLASH theme couldn’t be more perfect for this fun and cheerful card 🙂 !

  1. Such a cute elephant with a very large ice cream cone, and the stripes added to the blanket stitch background make a soft and pretty look to go with all the other soft summer colours, and the slimline shape works well TaeEun. x
