Hello and welcome to Pinkfresh Studio “Twinkle & Tradition” Release Blog Hop !!!

If you arrived here from Michelle Short’s Blog, you’re on the right track. If not, be sure to head over to the Pinkfresh Studio Blog for all the details on this gorgeous new release and to start the full blog hop!

It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio, and we’re so excited to share the Twinkle & Tradition release, which is packed with unique and festive holiday products that will make your holiday crafting truly special 🎄!

For today’s hop, I created a couple of holiday cards featuring nontraditional pastel colors.

The first card showcases the Shelf Edit: Magic of the Season product suite. I incorporated the holiday shelf scene into a shadow box using the Shadow Box Frame die. For the background, I used the Evergreen Sparkle coverplate die.

To start, I hot foiled the Shelf Edit: Magic of the Season images in gold and stenciled them using the coordinating stencil. The ink colors I used are:

Once I finished stenciling, I cut the images out using the coordinating die

For the background, I ink blended a white A2 sized panel with Sky Blue at the top and Warm Buff at the bottom, then cut it with the Evergreen Sparkle die and adhered it onto a cream card base.

Next, I created the Shadow Box Frame from white cardstock and attached it to the card front. I made an extra frame folded to half the height of the original frame to create the shelf plates.

I arranged the elements from the Shelf Edit: Magic of the Season on the shelf and added a gold hot foiled sentiment, also from the Shelf Edit; Magic of the Season press plate set.
For some sparkle, I added a few Sunshine Jewels and a small berry decoration in the top right corner of the frame. This berry decoration is from the Timeless Tidings product suite, which I used for the second card. The berries are stenciled in Candy Apple, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, and Espresso, and the holly leaves in Grassy Knoll, Key Lime, and Meadow.
As a final touch, I adhered a few stars onto the Shadow Box Frame using the leftover die-cut pieces from the Evergreen Sparkle panel.

The second card features the Timeless Tidings product suite, which includes a stencil set and a one piece die set.

I stenciled the whimsical holiday elements in pastel colors and arranged them onto a Christmas Lights panel. This coverplate die comes with a stencil set, so you can color the light bulbs however you like!
The sentiment was hot foiled in red using the Shelf Edit: The Magic of the Season Press Plate.

  1. I really like how you used this shadow box die to create a shelf like look here. How creative and it worked out great! Much to admire in this card. Your second card with the pastel colors and your layout is gorgeous. I need to get these products. LOL

  2. Love the elf on the shelf idea! That frame looks great and like the original ideal for using in a child’s room!

  3. So hard to choose favorites from this release! I really wanted the Evergreen Sparkles background die, but after seeing how you used the Christmas lights one I want that one too! Both make stunning backgrounds. Your Shelf Edit card would be fun to make and fun to receive! So many items to use to make it. The 2nd card is also a stunner with the pastel colors you used.

  4. Your elf on the shelf shadow box is too adorable! And the Timeless Tidings card is fantastic…your color choice is so unique.

  5. Omg, I just love your shadow box! It’s so cute!! And the colors that you’ve used on your ornament card are so pretty!!

  7. Love, love, love the colors you used. Both cards are just so much fun! Elf on the shelf is darling and the second card is spectacular too. Thanks for sharing, TaeEun.

  8. I love the cute elf sitting on the shelf amongst all the lovely Christmas items, and the coverplate die looks great as the background TaeEun, and a wonderful shadow box frame which looks perfect. The second looks so pretty in the non traditional colours for the holly and the bauble nestled within it, and the Christmas lights die cut background works brilliantly and with the matching stencil the variations in the colours are endless, beautiful seasonal cards using this new Pinkfresh release. x

  9. Hi, TaeEun, I love your happy bright colors. at first I couldn’t understand why the houses had fire inside them but after awhile, I figured out they were shelf decorations like the elf 😂 I also like your use of fun colors for all the leaves and background on the second card. Nicely designed!!

  10. What fabulous and clever creations! The shadow box creation is so cute! Such elf on the shelf vibes! LOVE it! I love the way you coloured the leaves and your bulbs on the second make. Both so fabulous! xoxo

  11. Wonderful cards! I love the shadow box card with the sweet scene and the adorable elf! Lovely card with the ornament too! Fab colors!

  12. Thanks for sharing your lovely cards! The little elf card is adorable; I’ve been looking at that “suite” set. Your 2nd card is bright and cheery, I love the pastel colors! Thanks for the inspiration!

  13. Oh wow. That Elf on a Shelf card must have taken hours to create (or at least it would for me!). It is stunning, and what a gift it will be to the recipient. You can’t beat a handmade card that puts love and joy into the details like that. The ornament card with the pastel lights is also beautiful. And how fun! I wouldn’t have thought to try pastel lights, but the effect is charming!
