Today’s card features the deer and sentiment from the Shelf Edit: The Magic of the Season Press Plate, along with The Timeless Tidings product suite and the Christmas Lights coverplate stencil and die from this release.

I hot foiled the Shelf Edit: The Magic of the Season in gold for one of my blog hop cards yesterday. After finishing that card, I had the deer left over, so I decided to make it the star of this one. The deer was stenciled in Warm Buff and Doe, with a touch of Sweet Mustard on its back, and the bow was colored in Sparkling Rose. I then die cut it with the coordinating die.

The berries and leaves from the Timeless Tidings suite were stenciled twice: once in green tones and again in purple-blue pastel tones. The berries were also colored in various shades of pink.

For the background, I stenciled the Christmas Lights in pastel colors onto the front of my white card base : Marigold, Apricot, Bubble Gum, Lavender, Grassy Knoll and Sky Blue. I ink blended the light bulbs very lightly so the background wouldn’t appear too busy.
Next, I ink blended an A2 sized white panel in Sky Blue at the top and Warm Buff at the bottom, die cut it with the Christmas Lights die, and adhered it to the cardbase.

To give the deer a place to stand, I cut a white oval panel using the Nested Ovals: Double Stitch die and again one size larger oval panel from vellum.

To assemble the card, I arranged the holly leaves and berries into three clusters as shown in the picture. Then I layered the white on top of the vellum oval panel, then added the deer and sentiment using foam tape.

To finish the card, I scattered a few Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls.
