For today’s hop, I created a monochrome floral card featuring one of the new Washi suites – the Peony Glow, along with the Floral Lattice and the Diamond Lattice coverplate dies.
To begin, I adhered the Peony Glow Washi Tape onto white cardstock and cut out the images using the coordinating die. As I wanted to decorate the rectangle front panel, I chose two floral clusters arranged at a right angle for a balanced composition.
To create a soft coordinating background, I ink blended a white panel in Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Berrylicious in an ombré gradient, deepening the color on two diagonal corners. I then cut the panel with the Floral Lattice die. The top and bottom edges of a white cardbase were lightly ink blended in Coral Reef before adhering the Floral Lattice panel on top.
For the focal panel, I cut another piece of white cardstock with the Diamond Lattice die, trimmed it down, and foam mounted it onto a white rectangle cardstock for dimension. I embellished this focal panel with the two Peony Glow floral clusters, positioning them to frame the sentiment.
The sentiment was hot foiled in gold using the Freesia Flourish Press Plate, die cut and added to the center of the card with foam tape. To finish the design and tie in the gold accents, I scattered a few Gold Metallic Pearls to the card.

I love the prettily coloured lattice background with the coordinating coloured flowers on two opposite corners TaeEun and the added gold foiled die cut sentiment in the centre and gold metallic pearls finish it beautifully. x
