Hello everyone, hope you’re having a great week so far!
I’m sharing a couple of floral cards on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog today, featuring some brand new items from the Flourish & Glow Release! This Release went live today with a fun blog hop! So I hope you don’t miss it !
I’ve created two cards using Moonlit Blooms suite and the Diamond Lattice coverplate die from the new release, using each of them only once. You’ll see what I mean 🙂 ! Let’s take a look at how I made them.

I started by heat embossing the Moonlit Blooms image in white on white cardstock. Using the coordinating stencils, I colored the image in following colors — Coral Reef, Berrylicious, and Mango Sorbet for the flowers, and Blue Jay and Hydrangea for the greenery. Once the coloring was complete, I die-cut the image with the matching die.

For a soft watercolor background, I transferred Berrylicious and Blue Jay ink onto an acetate sheet, spritzed it with water, and pressed the colors onto a mixed media panel. After letting the panel dry, I cut it with the Diamond Lattice die. I carefully removed the cutting plate and the die and secured the die-cut panel with a piece of Press’n Seal. Then I added small pieces of foam tape to the back of the tiny square sections. These squares were then adhered to a white card base, and I gently lifted the lattice portion to reveal the intricate background. To create a second card, I foam-mounted the lattice piece onto another white card base, giving it subtle dimension.

I cut a white oval frame using the Nested Ovals: Double Stitch die and placed it on the first card, using the inner oval piece on the second card. I also cut additional greenery with the Fresh Florals die from white cardstock, added it to the oval frame on the first card before adding the large stenciled Moonlit Blooms image.

For the second card, I lightly ink blended a piece of white cardstock in Blue Jay and cut it with the coordinating Moonlit Blooms die. This piece served as a mat for the smaller floral cluster, which I added slightly offset and raised with foam tape for dimension. I added highlights to the flowers with a white gel pen.
The sentiments from the Cozy Blooms stamp set were stamped in Detail Black, cut with the coordinating dies and placed on the cards as shown. For the first card, I matted the sentiment on a white banner cut with the Basic Banners die.
Finally, I added two Ice Clear Drops on the oval frame of the first card, and three Sapphire Jewels on the second card.

Don’t discard your negative die-cuts! You can easily create a second card by using the leftover pieces.
For a soft blended effect, use acetate or clear packaging to transfer ink onto paper. Using the ink smooshing technique, you can create a soft, organic watercolor effect with just your ink pads
It’s been a while since I last used the smooshing technique, and it was so much fun to try it again 🙂 ! I hope my cards today inspire you to give it a try too!
Thank you so much for looking!

Beautiful pair of cards!
Two beautiful cards from the one die flower and one lattice die TaeEun, and a great idea to use the little diamond pieces from the die cut to embellish the second card, and just cutting the flowers and leaf stem makes a lovely centrepiece on each of the cards. The stitched oval frame cut to make an outer thin frame on one and using the central area as a mat for the other also stretches supplies and works brilliantly. I love the colours you used and just the extra leaves in white to the card with just the outer frame fills those little empty spaces, and both finished beautifully with the little gems and lovely sentiments. x
