It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio, and the Season of Wonder Release is here! This festive collection is filled with everything you need to create for the holiday season: from elegant seasonal florals to playful ornaments, tiny festive icons, and modern geometric backgrounds. There’s a lovely mix of classic Christmas imagery and fresh, modern designs, making it easy to create anything from elegant and sophisticated cards to fun and cheerful holiday projects.

Today I’m sharing a couple of cards created with some of my favorite products from this release! Let’s take a closer look!

My first card is a shaker card featuring Merry Mistletoe stencils and the Starlit Strands Press Plate from this release. Instead of going with traditional Christmas colors, I chose a fresh combination of pastel colors against a deep navy background.

To begin, I stenciled the mistletoe and the gorgeous bow image from the Merry Mistletoe set in the following colors:

Once the stenciling was finished, I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and set them aside.

For the background, I hot foiled the Starlit Strands in white, then ink blended the panel with Sapphire and Stargazer, keeping the outer edges darker. To brighten the center slightly, I softly blended Calico White Pigment ink over that area and let the panel dry completely.

To create the shaker, I first hot foiled a sentiment from the Tiny Tidings Press Plate set in gold onto a sheet of Heat Resistant Acetate. Next, I cut an elongated oval frame from white cardstock using two dies from the Nested Elongated Ovals: Blanket Stitched Die set. I trimmed the acetate to fit the frame and adhered it to the back, then added 3 mm foam tape to the back of the frame to create the shaker walls.

I Adhered a few Starry Sky Ombré Glitter Drops to the lower area of the background panel which would be inside the shaker,. Then I added the shaker mix, including Starry Sky Ombré Glitter Drops, blue and white sequins and snowflake sequins, before carefully attaching the shaker frame over the top.

Finally I arranged the mistletoe and bow over the shaker window as shown to complete the card.

For my second card, I used the Festive Flourish product suite together with the Diamond Framework stencil set from this release.

I started by hot foiling the Festive Flourish image in gold and coloring it with the coordinating stencils in the following colors:

Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the image using the coordinating die.

For the background, I watercolored the right side of an A2-sized Premium Watercolor Paper panel with Grassy Knoll, Sunshine and Bay Leaf Liquid Watercolor. After the panel was completely dry, I stenciled the Diamond Framework pattern over it using Citron and Bay Leaf

I then die cut the panel with the largest die from the Dotted Nested Deckled Rectangles die set and foam mounted it onto a white cardbase.

To finish the card, I foam mounted the Festive Flourish image and the gold hot foiled sentiment from the same set. A few Gold Metallic Pearls added the final touch of shine.
