It’s release day at Pinkfresh Studio, and The Simple Things Release is here! The New Release celebrates cozy everyday moments with a charming mix of unique florals, whimsical vintage-inspired cottage imagery, and versatile geometric backgrounds for warm and heartfelt cardmaking. It’s a lovely collection for creating designs that feel nostalgic, playful, and full of character.
I’m sharing two cards created with some of the beautiful products from the new Release.
My first card features the Gentle Bloomscape, Oval Rhythm coverplate die, and Simply Said sentiment set.
To start, I stenciled the Gentle Bloomscape, in an ombré style, keeping the colors brighter toward the center and gradually deepening them toward the outer edges.
For the flowers, I used Ballet Slipper, Cherry Blossom, Coral Reef, Peony and Passion Fruit. For the leaves, I used Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, Key Lime, Olive and Evergreen.
Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut all the floral images using the coordinating die.
For the background, I watercolored a panel of Premium Watercolor Paper in a similar ombré style like the floral images using Ballet Slipper and Raspberry Bliss Premium Liquid Watercolor, adding a touch of Clementine to two diagonal corners. After the watercolored panel had dried completely, I cut it with the largest die from the Single Stitch Rectangle die set and dry embossed it with the Oval Rhythm coverplate die. I then adhered the panel to a white cardbase.
Next, I arranged the Gentle Bloomscape florals over the background with foam tape. To recreate the original placement of the floral design, I used the negative die cut piece as a guide.
The sentiment from the Simply Said Press Plate set was pressed in Detail Back, die cut, and stacked with two additional white die cuts for dimension. I also cut a white banner using the Basic Banners die and layered the sentiment over it.
To finish the card, I scattered a few Iridescent Clear Drops.
My second card features the Steeped in Comfort product suite together with the Heirloom Nested Frames die set from this Release. The Steeped in Comfort suite includes a fun interactive element. Pulling up the lid reveals a hidden message tucked inside the vintage tea canister.
I started by pressing the images and a sentiment from the Steeped in Comfort Press Plate set in Gathered Twigs, then colored the images using the coordinating stencil set in the following colors.
- Stencil 1: Peach Fuzz, Sunshine
- Stencil 2: Cherry Blossom, Peony, Sunshine, Mimosa
- Stencil 3: Marigold
- Stencil 4: Bay Leaf, Grassy Knoll, Olive
- Stencil 5: Peony
- Stencil 6: Doe
- Stencil 7 (1): Peach Fuzz, Cherry Blossom
- Stencil 8 (2): Cherry Blossom, Peony
Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut all the images and the sentiment using the coordinating dies.
Next, I stamped the small sentiment from the Steeped in Comfort stamp set onto the front of the tea canister in Detail Black. I wanted the lid to sit at the same hight as the canister, so I die cut an additional lid piece. I lightly stenciled the background of this extra piece in Cherry Blossom, stamped the decorative border in the same color, and added the hidden sentiment in Detail Black. I then trimmed the lid from the first stenciled piece and foam mounted it over the die cut piece with the sentiment.
For the yellow background, I ink blended the front of a white cardbase with Sweet Mustard and Marigold, then splattered it with white opaque ink. To create a clean white backdrop for the focal image, I cut a panel using the Heirloom Nested Frames die set and dry embossed it with two smaller dies from the same set for subtle texture. I then foam mounted the panel onto the card.
I added foam tape to the back of the tea canister, leaving enough space for the hidden message to slide neatly inside, and attached it to the white Heirloom panel.
The honey jar was foam mounted at the lower right of the canister with the sentiment, while the citrus cluster was added to the upper left corner of the Heirloom panel.
To finish the card, I added Blush Clear Drops to the tea canister and the lid handle, along with a few Champagne Clear Drops on the background for a little extra shine.

First of all, I have been hopping along out of order and stopped to purchase the Gentle Bloomscape after Jennifer McGuire’s LIVE and am further inspired with how you used it!
I’ve also seen Kathleen and Jody and Jennifer each create with the Steeped in Comfort suite which I haven’t purchased yet, but it’s definitely towards the top of my wishlist! I love how your’s is still so different from the other three I’ve seen! I love how your honey and “lemons” or oranges? are a nice peachy orange shade and a beautiful composition! These products are so amazing to use, yet every crafter has a slightly different take on how to use them!! Thank you for sharing!! 🩷🩷🩷
