Pinkfresh Studio “The Simple Things” Release Instagram Hop

My card for today’s hop features the Gentle Bloomscape product suite, Leafy Loops Coverplate die, Heirloom Nested Frames die set, and Simply Said sentiment set from the new release. 

To start, I stenciled the Gentle Bloomscape in soft color palette, using coral and orange tones for the flowers and soft greens for the leaves. I used the following ink colors:

Stencil 1 & 2: Coral Reef, Peony, Apricot, Mimosa

Stencil 3 & 4: Citron, Bay Leaf, Grassy Knoll, Eucalyptus 

Stencil 5: Gathered Twigs

Once the stenciling was complete, I die cut the floral images using the coordinating one-piece die and set them aside. 

To create the background, I loosely watercolored an A2 panel of Premium Watercolor Paper using Sunshine, Bay Leaf, Aquamarine, and Grassy Knoll Premium Liquid Watercolors , concentrating most of the color toward the lower left portion of the panel. After the panel had dried, I cut it with the largest die from the Single Stitch Rectangle die set and then cut it using the Leafy Loops coverplate die.  I adhered the finished background panel to a white cardbase and added a white frame, cut from Premium Watercolor Paper using the Heirloom Nested Frames set, with foam tape for dimension.

Next, I arranged the Gentle Bloomscape florals around the frame as shown in the picture.

The sentiment from the Simply Said Press Plate set was pressed in Detail Black, die cut, and added to the card. 

To finish the design, I scattered a few Leaf Clear Drops for a subtle touch of shine.
