Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start!
I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today with a fiery floral card featuring the gorgeous Golden Poppies die and stencil sets from the Daydream Edit Release. For the background, I combined the layering background dies, Diamond Delight and Modern Mosaic, and created bright pink ombré design to complement the floral arrangement. I love how the vivid background echoes the color of the main flower while still letting the floral cluster remain the focal point.

I started by die cutting white cardstock with the Golden Poppies die. Before removing the pieces, I left them in place and stenciled the images with the coordinating stencil set in the following colors.
– Stencil 1: Coral Reef, Peony
– Stencil 2: Passion Fruit
– Stencil 3: Berrylicious
– Stencil 4: Apricot, Marigold
– Stencil 5: Espresso
– Stencil 6: Bay Leaf, Sheer Freesia

For the background, I created a circular ombré ink blended panel on white cardstock using Coral Reef, Peony, Passion Fruit, and Candy Apple, keeping the center lighter and deepening the color toward the outer edges. I then die cut this panel with the Diamond Delight die.
Next, I ink blended a second panel from light pink cardstock in the same circular ombré style, this time using Passion Fruit and Candy Apple for a slightly deeper look. I die cut this panel with the Modern Mosaic die and then cut two additional Modern Mosaic layers from heavyweight white cardstock. These extra layers were stacked behind the ink blended panel to add dimension.

I adhered the Diamond Delight background panel to a white cardbase and then placed the layered Modern Mosaic piece on top. After that, I arranged the Golden Poppies floral elements into a bouquet, secured the arrangement temporarily with Press’n Seal, added foam tape to the back, and adhered it to the card.
To finish, I pressed the sentiment from the Elegant Essence Press Plate set in Detail Black, die cut it, and added it to the floral arrangement. A few Magenta Glitter Drops completed the card with a touch of sparkle.

Die cutting the floral elements first and then coloring them with the coordinating stencil set is another great way to use the coordinating stencil and die suites, it also makes stencil alignment a bit easier.
I really love how the layered background adds texture and detail while still keeping the focus on the flowers. The circular ombré design, with the color deepening toward the outer edges, helps the floral arrangement stand out beautifully and naturally draws the eye to the center of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a crafty and creative day!
