Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
The Pinkfresh Studio August 2026 Challenge starts today! The theme of this month’s challenge is Beautiful Backgrounds with a cheerful, retro-inspired color palette.
The theme is such an easy one to play along with, as almost any stencil, stamp, or die can become the starting point for a striking card design 🙂 !

For my card, I used the Block Party product suite from the latest release and chose a softer interpretation of this month’s challenge color palette.

I started by stenciling the Block Party background. The stencil set includes five layers, and I used the following colors.
- stencil 1 – Key Lime
- stencil 2 – Turquoise
- stencil 3 – Citron
- stencil 4 – Apricot
- stencil 5 – Sparkling Rose, Peony for the hearts
The Easyblend Grip Mat is a great help when stenciling. If you haven’t heard of it yet, check it out! 🙂
Next, I die cut the Block Party design three times from white cardstock and stacked the layers together for dimension. I adhered the stenciled panel to a white cardbase, then placed the dimensional die cut piece over the background.

For the sentiment, I used the Woodland Trails stamp set. I stamped “Thanks” in Detail Black, die cut it, and stacked it with two additional die cuts. The long sentiment was white heat embossed onto a strip of cardstock which I had ink blended with Peony.
To create a focal point with the sentiment, I cut two hearts in different sizes using the Radiating Hearts and Stars die. The large heart was cut from white cardstock, while the smaller one was cut from cardstock, that was ink blended with Sparkling Rose.
I layered the two hearts in the center of the card and arranged the sentiments on top, as shown.
To finish the card, I added Ice clear drops to the small hearts in the background and to the heart of the focal point.

That’s it from me for today! I hope you’ll join the Pinkfresh Studio August Chellenge! One lucky participant will win a $50 gift card to the Pinkfresh Studio Store! All entries, both card and memory keeping, are eligible to win the prize!
